also...heard this kid talk in an interview tonight on ESPN....didn't sound to educated.....I'm expecting a Vince Young like Wonderlic score out of him ::facepalm::

I caught part of the interview yesterday where he described that he hadn't spoken to his father about the incident and might not in the future. I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth and I see him as a black eye on college football.

I think he's very unpolished but the general opinion of the media is that he's a 1st rounder.

I didn't see this interview and I'd generally agree with the facepalm, but personality and the way that you carry yourself are quite important. With a solid bowl game and combine, he could easily Jamarcus Russell the draft. I remember seeing Russell a few times and thinking that there's no way in hell I'd pay this kid more than 5M upfront.

When Russell and Troy Smith showed up at the Bowl Game and Russell was wearing that multi-colored fur coat, my cerebral face-palm went off hardcore.

Maybe we don't have the right to judge a kid's intelligence as we're not the one's paying him 50M upfront, but I prefer the bland guy for my team. I don't want Brett Favre or Russell, I want me some Payton Manning, Slingblade-type QB.
