Cam Ward signs 6 year extension with Hurricanes

Cam Ward and the Carolina Hurricanes agreed to a six year $37.8 million contract extesnsion today. Ward won 39 games last season and was the 2005-06 Conn Smythe Trophy winner as a rookie.

the Hurricanes have called a 1 pm press conference to announce the deal.
