Maybin sucks, he won't be able to hit at Petco, they better be getting him cheap and as a defensive/4th outfielder.

How many times can a Marlins fan get kicked in the junk in one weekend and not pass out?

Lets find out.

Thanks for Cabrera, Marlins.

Isn't Badenhop the player left from that trade?

Juan Pierre was a damn good player. I would have been thrilled with Juan Pierre v2.0 Not everyone hits homers.

Pierre was a good player.

People said Maybin was going to be a great player.

a Juan Pierre-type player is underappreciated in today's game, but the way people talked about Maybin was usually in comparison to Cabrera, just with a little less power.

Those people were snake oil salesmen.

He was and could still be Mike Cameron.

This is why I question guys coming out of HS with poor command of the Strikezone who could be 5 tool players. Maybin is the reason why I don't have a single Tate card...

That actually is a very good comparison.

I hope Maybin does succeed in Petco and in the NL West.

I think his average might see a bump, but I dont see his power increasing much.

Hopefully Ryan Webb and Mujica can help the bullpen. That was clearly one of the weakest parts of the team last year.

Maybe Maybin just needs a change of scenery for him to do his thing.

Two very decent 7th inning guys for a former 5-tool prospect. Interesting trade. Marlins gave up the potential for solidified bullpen help.

San Diego will be a good place for him. Put him in CF and 7th or 8th in the lineup and just let him play. He's just 23 and still has time to figure it out. At worst you have an excellent defensive 4th outfielder. Mujica is a nice bullpen arm but SD always seems to come up with those guys. Florida's bullpen was horrible and Maybin was out of options. Seems to be a trades that helps both teams.
