Maybe he'll tear up AAA and get his confidence up.

The Marlins have reportedly sent Cameron Maybin down to Triple-A New Orleans.
Not that Maybin has been any good this year, but it's remarkable that the Marlins seem to favor Emilio Bonifacio so much more, especially since Bonifacio has been even worse lately. The Marlins have even chosen to replace Maybin with an infielder when Chris Coghlan would have made a lot more sense at third base. Maybin will be back, and he's worth holding on to in NL-only leagues.

CF Cameron Maybin was optioned to Class AAA New Orleans after Sunday’s game. A Tuesday starter will be announced late today or tomorrow. All signs point to Class AAA John Koronka.

I applaud this decision. Clearly he needs more seasoning.

Time to buy those Sterlings and sell when he gets recalled.

I drafted him in the late rounds of my fantasy team...just in case. I dropped him a week or so ago.

I fear he may be a minor league lifer.

I am starting to think that Cameron was way overhyped. At least as far as his hitting approach is concerned.....

I refuse to believe this. When I saw him in the Fall League a few years back he had one of the best approach's for someone his age I have ever seen which was so surprising to me because I had heard that he was more of an athlete than a baseball player. I still think he has a great future he just needs to work hard right now.

I used to believe his hype, but the fact that he never really improved his K rate was diappointing. He could have one of the best 3-4 game stretches in the minors, but be a no show the rest of the month.

Strikeouts will always be his Achilles' Heel, but look at the positives: 1) he has great speed for a guy his size, 2) he has good power which is still emerging, 3) most importantly, he remains humble, ready and willing to learn.

Probably one of the best things that could have happened to him. He was given the job without proving he could handle AAA picthing.

I hate to be right in this case, but I have always been his biggest detractor. He actually outperformed what I thought he would do this year. I dont see him ever making an impact at the MLB level.
