Can't find cards of my player?

I don't know what is worse, having too many cards to choose from or not enough? I collect Ozzie Smith and Mike Matheny; most of the time I can't afford the newer Ozzie stuff so I stick to the old. Matheny is another story, according to Beckett he has 66 1/1's and I have yet to see one pop up on EBay in 3 years? In fact, he rarely has any cards up on Ebay at all. I realize he isn't Arod or Griffey but come on.

I'm considering turning to the dark side and doing the Burbank thing but even Matheny is high at that place.

first, dont do it. patience my friend. thats also kinda the downside about collecting an obscure player. most would pull a matheny, even a rare 1/1, and overlook it, trash it or put it away in a commons box. bagwell is by no means a common but im still searching for his 97 ultra platinum medallion and ive seen about 10 griffeys for every bagwell.

Keep on searching for those Matheny cards! Beckett, Sportlots, Mr.Mem, try them all!

I guess I'll just keep grinding it out but it does get frustrating never seeing the good stuff on the Bay.

Do you have an Ebay search saved for Matheny? I have a bunch of searches saved and just leave it up to Ebay to send me an email whenever something is listed of a particular player or set.

I search for Matheny on Ebay about 3 times a day. I can find common cards of him but it is impossible to find anything numbered at all. He only has 3 certified auto cards and I have those. He has zero GU cards to date. The search goes on...

I was the underbidder twice on both of those cards. The seller emailed me both times as soon as the auction ended and offered them to me as a second chance. I assumed at that point that he was running a scam and didn't bid on them when you evidently won them. The last time I saw these on Ebay was well over a year ago unless i missed a relisting.

Would you be willing to move them?

Well I guess I should have been more specific about it. Other than these two I have never seen a 1/1 and I personally have not seen either of these in well over a year. I honestly thought I'd never see either of these two again either and I hope something can be done. There are still 64 other 1/1's for Matheny and they just don't come up for some reason. Many printing plates but never on EBay?
