Saw the auction in the last minute and threw out a bid. I think that most people do not realize that these are game-used, and I believe the proliferation of game-used and auto'd stuff that has come out recently (Ultimate, Sterling and Prime Cuts) combined with the economy has really hurt prices.

Just snagged another. Under $60 for this beauty /15. No way they can stay this cheap. If 2-3 people start pushing for the set and have to compete with player collectors, the rarer one's especially should start getting real attention (like the Chipper that was mentioned.)

I think you beat me on that Ryno...had my snipe at like $50 something.beautiful card...nice bold auto...I don't think these things are going to bleed like people think...the ones from a few years back still look good (see EricChavezCollector's Chavez barrel auto)

Could be. The one's with the bold autograph IMO are worthy of premiums. There's another couple I'm eying and that would probably be it for me, but it's hard to ignore them at these prices.

Yeah...I've noticed that Youkilis and that Dodger rookie did pretty crappy jobs signing theirs...but Jeter, Sandberg and Chipper appeared to do great jobs.

A number of them seemed to have trouble (Prince Fielder's does not look too attractive) but it's still a great concept for a great price.

Those are some sweet-looking cards and I agree that they could go up in value. I noticed them when the set came out, but then I got distracted by the jumbo patches and forgot about them. I checked out the completed listings a few days ago and was surprised to see how little they were fetching. You can bet that if this product didn't have so many amazing jumbo patches that I would be fervently trying to gather as many of the bat barrel cards as possible.

I'm glad I don't have to compete with you. Everything about these cards screams of a set that will collectible for a long time.

Those are great, around here they say "what Prime Cuts is to Dimaggio cuts, Ultimate Collection is to Jeter Auto's". I don't care how many are made, they are great looking. Thats why I bought a case. All the really good players are live auto's, Jeter and Griffey are almost always redemptions, I have 3-4 of each redemption from earlier products several months old. Dice-K is a redemption though.
