How can a thread that is about trying to contact a member, turn into a shilling accusation?

The fact that this is two pages already is ridiculous. JP is not a shill bidder, nor is he shady in any way. He's as honest as they come in this hobby.

Absolutely when it comes to this issue!

There is no reason to have JP's name being dragged through the mud, even if it was by one member. I will most certainly get defensive and angry to see this happen, especially to a friend, who is also a staple member of this community.

Not only that, the guy had more than enough reason to question it. Jaypers or not, SOMEONE ran that auction to the max, and he had a right to at least question it. Obviously could be someone trying to protect the value of a card they also own, or someone doing an un-asked for favor, but anybody looking at the auction and doesn't see what is hitting them in the face has a problem. Again, I'm not saying it was the person auctioning it, and by all accounts he seems like a stellar member, but someone pushed that to highest penny.

This. I think everyone on here already knows that JP had a great reputation, but it was a fishy auction regardless of who was running it. I think this thread has gotten quite derailed though haha, time to lock.

I appreciate the last two responses. My intent was not to drag anyone's name through the mud. It was an auction that threw up red flags but there are many that throw up red flags but the auctions are on the up-and-up. My intent was just to get some feedback and I tried to phrase it in a way that it didn't come across accusatory. If it did, I apologize for that. It sounds like JP is a valued member of this forum and I'm more than ok with that.

The thread should be locked because the topic got derailed. The OP got the info he needed, so the shilling inquiry has nothing to do with any of it.
