the guy is old, he had a long career, am i supposed to feel bad for him because he has to retire from playing baseball? get real.

Right now I'm not really concerned with who will 'fill the void'. I'm more worried about who the Cardinals are losing. I am heartbroken.


Losing Musial was like losing my Grandpa. Losing Carpenter is like, I don't know what.

You're implying he's in steroids. Get a XXXXing clue.

Take the emotion out of it and look at the warning signs:
  • He was a tad raged
  • He had his best season at age 34 after having essentially two years off (great time to use)
  • He had a full season off at age 28 after being a busted 1st Round Pick for the Jays
  • He had all the reasons to juice, he probably saw himself as a failure and when he gained success, he had to continue using
