Re: When it comes to selling here, whats wrong with some people?

It's not worth the argument guys. I've had a very long debate (going across two different topics if I recall correctly) with autocut about this in the past on TCC and learned to mostly respect his decision.

The hobby is hypocritical. Cards are junk when you try to sell them, but what a waste when you throw them away. ::facepalm::

Because people are saying that you should just donate them to a children's hospital... it's not always about trying to sell them...

I have in the past, but I don't buy cards just to donate them. Cards are cards. Nothing more. I even use them for package stuffings now.

I respect his decision but I also respect my right to think its kinda odd.

Even if cards are not worth a whole lot, it doesn't mean someone can't enjoy them.I enjoy base singles. And if you move somewhere where you can't fit 70,000 baseball cards...it must be a small place indeed.

If...for some odd reason you ever run across a lot of base singles like that again...you could try offering them to guys on the board for shipping and handling.Maybe team lots or something.Hell...with that amount of cards , if you had broken them up into team lots, you might have gotten a few buyers.

I have noticed that its most often the people who say they can't sell their cards are usually the ones not trying hard enough or looking in the right places. And just so you know...when I get singles I don't want I trade them to a dealer that gives me $10 in trade on every blaster full I bring him.Today I got several wax boxes(triple threads basketball, turkey red basketball, and some other football related stuff like the new upper deck draft edition and some of the late 90's stuff with nice inserts in it for what I took in.Granted there was some other junk mixed in but hey...if you look hard enough there is always a way.I get the same tune from one of the local shop owners. He won't dig not one 90's insert card out because he is convinced they are worthless.I even told him I'd search through them and buy what I lied and he still said it wasn't worth his time.Go figure.

I could care less what he does with his cards, but he is complaining that he's getting no value from them. By donating, you can get some value, both intagibly (feels good) and tangibly (tax return). Think about that next time...just because you were sour about not being able to sell doesn't mean there's not someone out there who wouldn't enjoy them.

And to the OP...it's already been said, but your recent tirades about every deal gone bad probably turns people off. You've got a cool sig, but your recent posts have taken on a arrogant, my shat don't stink tone.

It is kind of a turn off...wow am I really putting it like that...to see your posts like this. It seems like every day, you have a new issue with a buyer/seller. It gives the appearance that something is wrong with you to have something constantly going wrong on various transactions.

I'm not saying there is, just that it could seem like that. I'd have no problem dealing with you though if there was a need on either end.
