I have one for you:

2003 Topps ATFF Autographs Tug McGraw #TMC. He was one of twenty players who were not part of the base set but was to have an autograph card in the set. I bought a redemption on the Bay, sent it out, and received a Chad Qualls finest auto card as a replacement. I knew he was in poor health, so it is understandable if he either never got the cards or never sent them back.

He died not long after.

1985 Thom McAnn Shoes George Brett MSA disc. SCD has listed this stupid card for over 20 years now in their standard card catalog. Not a single one has ever surfaced. It does not exist.

I know when I was at Beckett, we did make an effort to verify EVERY Card on a checklist. I left in 2007, can not comment on anything after that point.

I will say that we received not only scans of the 2002 Pujols correction, but also confirmation from Topps that this was a difficult card with a very low percent of the print run.

That card DOES exist and I'm pretty sure we ran an E and V column on the card WITH the corrected photo.

1992 Colla All Star Promos- any player from set. One member claims to have the entire set but can't produce any scans and I don't know any player collector who has their player.

All Omar Vizquel cards, naturally.

I would not be shocked if turns out the UD Baseball Heroes card existed, and maybe the weird Absolute card. However I think it's EXTREMELY strange that I've never seen ANY of the others. I've never found anyone that has seen the Topps Stadium Club "Special" or know anything about them. If you look at the list on Beckett, it's a strange group. The MVP Preview is equally strange. I'd think one of the legendary player collectors would have one to share. The Ultimate Collections cards surely would have hit eBay, and I have searched every single day on eBay since they were released, including ended auctions. The 3 UD cards were all "100% confirmed" by people at UD (not customer service) as being produced. Hmm....

1) 1994 Topps Stadium Club Special #572
2) 1999 Upper Deck MVP Preview #63
3) 2002 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia Game-Used Bonus AL 100 Patch #68 1/1
4) 2008 Upper Deck Baseball Heroes Charcoal Jersey #151
5) 2009 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Generations Six #G6M6 /25 (Tim Lincecum, Willie McCovey, Gaylord Perry, Juan Marichal, Barry Zito, and Vizquel)
6) 2009 Upper Deck Ultimate Collection Generations Six Gold #G6M6 /10 (Tim Lincecum, Willie McCovey, Gaylord Perry, Juan Marichal, Barry Zito, and Vizquel)

Jeff said he had a few of these. Haven't seen them myself but would love to!

2000 Venezuelan

Haven't been able to find ANYTHING on that listed set. Ever.

Steve has a pic of the Vizquel.

This is one of the rarest sets, in the states at least, took forever just to find a picture to verify they really exist. Not really sure why so rare compared to others my guess is Panini didn't print these so distribution was nonexistent. I'm sure the McGwire exists but finding one let alone 3 might take a trip to Venezuela.

Funny, I think I've seen that pic before. Maybe lifted right from my site?

Unless someone pays my way back to MA ( I live in Vegas now) its highly unlikely any collector get more than this for scans,,,,, my apology you seem to think they don't exist ,,, and my bet is 90% of the 1,000 or so sets produced are in peoples possession and they have no idea what the hell they even have,,,, I cannot possibly be the only one who has sets because Barry sent these out to tons of people for opinions,,,,,,,, I have at least 5 sets of the promo's,,, and hundreds of sets of the regular AS,,,,,

Front of the cards look similar to the regular Colla AS series,,,

Back is DIFFERENT,,, has an ad for Barry's various series,,,,backs are UNNUMBERED,,,,,,

When I do finally get home and access my Massachusetts storage unit this is one issue I will sell as I have extras,,,,,people can stand in line with the rest of them and fight it out on ebay when I list them,,,,,

While we are at it== 1996 LEAF STEEL BRONZE-- they exist,,,,,,,

Jeff

I don't doubt you have these promo sets but I highly doubt that anywhere near 1000 sets were produced. This set is 20 years old, it is chalked full of players that are highly collected, and to my knowledge not a single example of any card from this promo set has ever surfaced anywhere. Some player would have surfaced somewhere at some point.

I look forward to seeing them the next time you make it back to MA.

Jeff

Jeff,

I need the Canseco.... screw Ebay and hook me up as its one of only a few cards remaining on the old side of my wantlist. the other is a 1992 Colla promo which I'm all but positive doesn't exist despite being listed as part of the set on the back of other promo's from the set which do exist. Canseco didn't have a 92 set so it leads me to believe the promo was never made either.

BTW...I'm in Ma.. I'll even go pick it up for ya if you want!

4) 2008 Upper Deck Baseball Heroes Charcoal Jersey #151

Is that this?: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Lk ... 5Ja95CEwug

2008%252520Heroes%252520jersey.jpeg

I actually have that one, and it's my understanding that this card is actually called the "Black," while the much darker version is called the "Charcoal." It makes no sense to me, but I need the darker version. Thanks for trying to help!
