Just thought i would throw that out there

You have to start thinking Carp is gonna get CY Young.. more wins, better ERA..even less Run support.. voters love those K's though..but if Lincecum is 5 wins behind Carp or Waino I think they gotta get the nod. Just think if Carp didnt loose that month to the strained rib cage!!

Carpenter is now 67-23 with the Cardinals with 678 K's.

Not to mention a 5-1 postseason record with a 2.53 ERA and a WS ring.

It is a shame that he missed 03, 07, and 08. Is there anything he can do over the next 5-7 years to get any Hall consideration?

Career: 116-73, 1300 K's, 3.91 ERA

Injuries has slowed his HOF chances, if he could pitch well in another WS/get the ring he might have a shot.
Other than that he would need to lower the career ERA and keep up the wins.

Win 160 more games and strike out atleast 1200 more batters oh and he also needs to lower his era by atleast half a run.
