This happened because they are getting Aramis Rameriz soon
Pending a Physical. And the fact he did not hit well last season
Don't know much about Versa But they need help in the bullpen I'm sure

Guess I could give up on collecting McGehee ::facepalm::

anyone want a sterling red ref auto 1/1, black ref auto /25, gold ref auto /50, and 2 base autos?

Typical Pirates move, always bringing in the "has beens" or in McGehee's case, one "one year wonders".

It's nice to think that the Brewers have set a new standard for success, but the reality is, McGehee probably buckled under the pressure of being a go-to guy and maybe even projected ahead to having to step up when Prince inevitably left.

Jose Veras is still in the league?

Makes the McGehee Sterling Auto that Topps sent me for a Donovan Tate Auto sting even more (especially considering others got David Price and Joba Chamberlain Bowman Sterling Prospect autos for replacements).

He is insurance for Alvarez and will split time at 1b with Jones. Pedro is the starter going into the season.

Veras had a good first half and faltered in the second some. He has an amazing breaking pitch and throws pretty hard. Overall the Pirates took on some more money for some insurances against another Pedro meltdown.

Glad I don't own a single thing of Pedro Alvarez

You're the most amazing hindsight prospector on the boards. I dont have any either so maybe i'm catching up to you!

Also, what does this pick-up have to do with who or who isnt invested in Alvarez?

Alvarez was not going to stick at 3B regardless. Moving to 1B was inevitable.

Why would that hurt his value?
