The Nationals just grabbed their closer for much, much cheaper than Giolito. Only cost them their 27th ranked prospect (according to mlb.com) and a relief pitcher. I'll always claim closers are overvalued but in this case I believe the Nats got a good deal for Melancon, even if it does just end up becoming a 2 month rental.

The next time Andrew Cashner faces St. Louis I hope he takes a 95 mph heater right in the face.
Dude needs to shut the hell up. He has no business talking trash about the Cardinals.
He beaned Matt Holliday in the FACE while with SAN Diego, then gets traded to Miami and throws high and tight to Aledmys Diaz, breaking his thumb.
Carlos Martinez retaliates by plunking Giancarlo Stanton, and Cashner has had a ton to say about the Cardinals in the aftermath of the retaliation.
Dude, shut the hell up. You have zero reason to talk, or be mad about Martinez plunking Stanton, after beaning Holliday in the face, then like a week later breaking the hand of Diaz.
I hope he's terrified the next time he steps in the batters box against St. Louis.
