I just sold off about every single card from my 3 box break <$240> and got a grand total of $40. The product is great. The ROI is terrible. Too many autos are worth nothing. I am a cautionary investor and the product seemed like it would be a good value break, but it just isn't holding enough value...even the top notch autos.

Just be aware

With all due respect, you must've really had some duds.

Robert Stock on card auto
Tony Sanchez on card auto
Christian Friedrich BTTF auto
Team Colors dual auto Anderson and Baker
Brooks Pounders Auto
Aspirations Rosenbaum Auto /100
Matt Davidson TOTC /125

Looking through completed auctions I see Tate autos are only selling for about $25. The base cards may become the most worthless base cards in history. These boxes need to move into the $50 range to be reasonable.

My opinion.

If you arent collecting players for PC, the best thing to do is keep the stash of lower priced guys. No reason to list them and get 1.99 for an auto of an 18-20 year old kid.

This product has a long future ahead for it considering theres 150 guys not in the majors with most being a few years away.

This happens each and every year. Uninformed, lack of patience sellers think they have to dump all the cheap autos because theres no way they can turn into stars.

They panic thinking they sunk several hundred into a "dud" product and better recoup as much as they can RIGHT NOW just to be happy and lose a few hundred.

Wish I hadnt sold my Sandoval EEE autos for $15 but hey, I thought they cant be worth anything because they are a thrid year auto. Or Pedroia autos for $5 bucks. Or Gallardo for $8. Or Hughes for $6. Or Bailey for $5. Or Weiters for $40. Or Heyward for $25.

If these boxes need to be "$50 to be more reasonable" then 2009 BDP should be $10 a box.

I will respectable disagree with you. The names are not in this product. With the checklist being 150 you do have a chance of finding a few guys. However, with the checklist being 150 too many weaklings to make up for the overall break.

Like I said love the product, but the secondary market is not showing the support right now and I don't see it getting better only worse when these guys that are exclusive start showing up in chrome checklists.

This is what I was afraid of when I saw that boxes were getting upwards of $80-$90 per. The auto checklist, as great as it is, isn't that much better overall than 08 EEE...and we all know how cheap of a break EEE has become. Bottom line, large auto checklists kill box prices regardless of who the high end autos are (unless of course a guy breaks out ala Pujols and there is a frenzy for the wax).

If you knew the checklist was weak, why did you buy 3 boxes? Sounds like you knew the risks and bought anyways. Not sure what more you were expecting if you didn't get any big hits?

Looking foward to busting 12 boxes later today and finally adding some "quality" cards to my 2009 Prospect section which is pitiful due to the crap BC had put out in 2009.

Also looking forward to selling off one by one each prospect who gets hot over the next few years for big money.

Been prospecting for over 20 years and EEE since 2002. I know how one minute Joe Schmo is a common 1.99 auto and the next hes a $30 auto. Been there done that....many times.

Hands down, no questions asked, this is the best prospect product of 2009.
But like always, Im also eagerly looking foward to those who NEED to dump their autos for 1.99 each.

Four boxes is hardly enough to judge a product by. Five cases or more would by my minimum for drawing any real conclusions about the product as a whole.

It's easily the best prospect product of the year, but I still wouldn't touch it at $80-$90.

With a checklist that large it was obvious to some that there would be a whole lot of autos going for under a couple of bucks.
Given the fact that BDP also came out a month before, USA UD the same week, and some anticipating the new Topps Minors --- that is why I stayed awayed from buying any boxes. Singles the way to go 100% when you have a checklist that large. (Too bad I didn't realize that before busting Sig Series)

Like an above poster mentioned, no sense listing the cards that will sell for under $1.25. Said the same with Sig Series. Might as well hold on to those guys and hope a few make the BA Hot List and then maybe get a few extra bucks

Of course people busting a handful of cases will get that low # parallel here and there to make it seem all worthwhile

The bottom line is that with most box breaks the majority of people will not make their money back. That goes for any product.
The thing that made me shake my head about EEE Elite this year is how some on this board had it made up in their minds even before the product was boxed that this was the "product of the year" (some even were determined to promote this product after the National).

I feel that sometimes we (including me) fall into the "hype" because we read too much into how great something is but don't sit back and read the motive/agenda of those that are pumping up a product (because they are pimping their stuff!)

People who are busting in quantity use message boards for promtion to increase sales.

I just bought all the cards I was interested in for less then a cost of a box and got one extra auto then I would have gotten in a whole box. 89.99 vs 64.50.

Unlike draft chrome I am not buying anything for months.

When buying singles with any products you should wait months. This years Draft prices dropped just as quick as Elite currently is which is no surprise to anyone i would think.

I like the look of this product. That being said I have maintained from the beginning that the print runs combined with the sticker vs non-sticker autos makes this set a tough flip.
