The NBA... Where salary dumps happen.

Washington is really clearing cap space so they can sign all the free agents that are itching to sign in Washington...

I think Cleveland has to go all out right now as they probably arent going to have the money to keep LeBron.

We'll see if its "not about the money" like Lebron said and see if he will be loyal to Cleveland

So right now there is no doubt that the Cavs win the championship, right? So if they win you would think Lebron would have to stay to defend the title, but probably wouldn't sign long term because of all the age on that team. Could we see a 1 year deal and do this all over again next year?

Again depends on if loyalty means as much as Lebron says it does.
Try to repeat as Champions or take a 50 mil/yr contract?

Well he can't get 50 million a year from anyone, so the money should be equal from anyone offering a deal. That's what it's not about money, it's about fame and rings. If the knicks are able to clear enough space to get Bosh and Lebron then I think he'll sign there because he gets the New York fame and should create a dynasty with Bosh and Gallinari.

Has he ever said he wants to spend his career in Cleveland? I know he's said he wants to bring a championship to Cleveland, but if he accomplishes that he might consider himself free to move on.

the cavs can offer lebron the most money over any other team and they have it so that is not the issue...i wouldnt give cleveland the nod for sure for the championship...trust me you have to factor in the cleveland curse...something weird will happen (this isnt me being a hater...i live by my cleveland sports teams i just know how this stuff plays out...if you know cleveland sports history you know what im talking about)

NO team can pay Lebron more then Cleveland! On a max deal, the Cavs can offer 20+ million on a multi contract then anyone.

I believe the above is correct.I believe he stays if the Cavs win it all.

That trade is interesting.
Even with the trade I'd be shocked if Cleveland wins the championship this year. I still don;t trust that supporting cast to take enough pressure off Lebron when the games matter.

You guys think Jamison fits in better than Amare? And wonder how Lebron feels about it since it seems the reason they were even pursuing Amare was because it was what Lebron wanted.

At this point I feel sorry for the Washington fans (if there are any left). I heard on ESPN today they'd keep Jamison and be "buyers" and look to rebuild around him for next season....what a mess that team is now.

I forgot about the rules where the team that is resigning a player can offer more than other teams. That is right, but I think the max deals will still be pretty similar.

Don't give up on the Nets. The new Russian owner is going to go hard after him and Wade. He has the money to get the stadium built in the Bronx and rumor has it he's going to offer Coach K a contract with a blank check and pay him whatever he wants.
Devin Harris, Wade, LeBron, and the good Lopez brother is a damn good team in the East.

Brook is the good Lopez brother, but since RObin has been given a chance he has shown he can play

Lee is playing decent and Yi does not suck as much as i thought he did

I still feel Lebron stays in Cleveland

I don't think there is even a 1% chance Wade leaves Miami, and if he does I'd guess he goes somewhere like Chicago and not NJ. That play also doesn't work with the Nets because they'd be forced to trade Harris since they'd have John Wall and Wade in the backcourt. I don't know that anyone would be willing to trade for Harris at this point.

There's a better chance of Sarah Palin winning the presidency in 2012 than LeBron James signing a one-year deal with Cleveland.
