Heard today that the celtics offered Allen and Rondo to Detroit for Stuckey, Hamilton, and Prince. Obviously Detroit said no, but it is interesting that the Celts are putting Rondo out there. Both have also been linked to trade rumors with Phoenix.

Obviously the Celtics overvalue Rondo way too much in that deal.

Trade him to get an amazing package in return? I think most teams are on the same page with you on that one.

I would not like to see Rondo go but if they can get someone who is still fairly young and "Can shoot jumpers" and play a little D I would be all for it. Personally With KG back I would just keep Rondo and work on getting a good bench and make a run for the title. Well see what happens.

No, the page that says Rondo isn't worth anything near a max contract and isn't as good as people are making him out to be.

I don't think he's worth a max contract, but he's playing his way close to one. I agree he isn't as good as people think. He's better than people make him out to be.

If he were on any other team he realistically would be called a piece of crap. But the fact that he's on the Celts is why people are willing to overlook his flaws. Who wants a guard that is only good within 2-3 feet of the basket?

True, he's only good when he gets to the rim which is whenever he drives. I guess that flaw really hurt him when he basically was the best player on his team during the playoffs and averaged very close to a triple double.

People seem to forget that a point guard doesn't need to score 30 a game. I'll take the point guard that makes his teammates better, rebounds, plays defense, and still scores 12 ppg.

Honestly it would be a big lose for the Celtics, Its not so much just about his shooting.
Thats not what he neccessarily brings, to me it the way he controls the flow of the
game when he is at he most competitive. It's been a long search for the Celtics to
find a quality PG who can really change the tempo of a game like he does.

It'll be interesting to see what direction they go.
