I'm a homer, for the most part, and while the A's are my team -- I go to a craptonne of Jays games. Not the point though...

Jenkins was supposed to be in 2009 BDP but something didn't work out...

So would you recommend buying 2009 BSP or 2010 B?

Both are autographs, obviously one's on a sticker.

Theoretically the 2009 Sterling auto should be his best card (because it's his first year card), but in reality, I have found that the 2nd year Bowman Chrome autos have been much better as an investment. From a collecting standpoint, I'd probably go after both, although most people will agree that Chrome is a better looking set than Sterling, mostly due to the on card autos and variety of parallel colors.

For the life of me, I don't understand it. I still value a players first card, I guess.

The '08 Heywards sell a lot better than the '07s, right?

Yes, but that's because autos are generally worth more than non-autos regardless of year. A blue ref auto will always outsell a blue ref in cases like these.

But I have found that the autos have more room for growth, so that is what I've chosen when investing.

They also have a higher modifier attached to the original price.

For anything under 50 bucks(in future dollars), I doubt there's an ROI difference.

Tristar is not an option?. :)

If they were both 09 cards, Bowman would be ahead. But since its his first card I would have to say Sterling.
