Yeah

Does not post a whole lot though. He owns a card shop in Huntsville Alabama with the same name.
Good to know. Guy made a total dick move.
I was perusing his items via eBay mobile, totally made a mistake and hit BIN and yes the damn confirm, it's right next to the back button on my browser...ok so my mistake.
I immediately message and inform him of the mistake and ask them to send an time cancellation so they can re-list the card asap.
Response...have to wait for an unpaid item case to open.

It's not hard to cancel a transaction and why would they want prefer to run an unpaid item vs simply sending cancellation?

Am I wrong here?

It's a ****** move. THat being said, you can leave feedback with a cancellation whereas you can't with a NPB.

I can see his side. Non payers get ooooooooold.

Of course they do but usually it's some bs story like "hey I've got ass cancer and I'm in the hospital and cat pay" or "hey my 4 year old logged on my eBay and bought this...kids huh!?" Or just some bullshat. But not "hey man I totally muffed up while browsing on my phone and fully intend to purchase some of your items, I simply made a mistake". Heck that would be the first time I've ever heard it.
Anyways, no sweat really. Let em run the npb and have to sit on the item

Buyers can initiate a auction cancellation as well, explain that it was a mistake, etc.

I'd do the same thing. Not because I'm a dick but hitting two buttons to purchase by mistake seems far fetched in a world where buyers are becoming less likely to pay. Of course once I found out who you were on here I'd cancel.

I once hit a BIN with immediate payment, because I thought I was buying a team set, because it said team set in the title, but it also said card in the title and had pics of all four cards..
I noticed after hitting BIN that it was for 4 of one player only.
His return policy said 14 day MBG, so I emailed him, told him what happened and he cancelled the transaction and refunded me.

whats his return policy?

It's easier than you think as it can be reflex. On my eBay app I've done it by accident, but in the couple times it's happened, I just went with it on all but one to avoid hassling the seller.

Oh I'm not saying its not possible. However I'm very anti buyer right now. There are some that will use excuses to get out of anything. Especially if a like card is listed cheaper.

I'm not saying the op is like that! I'd certainly let him out after some communication. However not just because he said so. Unless its an Id I recognize.

"Hi, because of the sequestration I will not be paying for 5% of my purchases. Thank you and good luck next time!"

Now that's gold right there. I think it would be funny to just send that message on every auction won...being sure to add in a little smile at the end them promptly paying. Ha!

He's prob had a run of non payments and your the one he's taking it out on. I've been to that point as a seller too, I get so many non pays and request to cancel transactions it just gets really old. I usually just cancel & move on, its less of a headache. I had one guy send me an offer I accepted, then about an hour later I got a message saying I didn't realize that my offer was an actual bid but I guess now I know what your willing to take if I do want it later?????

well he sent the cancellation and I agreed.

Funny thing is he sent a message that he was "out over $20" in fees. I simply provided a link to the resolution center and the information on what cancelling a transaction does for the seller. Maybe he just didn't know the details behind it.

problem solved.
