Let's hope he doesn't sign until after EEE releases, that way in the event a large market team does sign him, theres the potential to make a quick flip.

Unlikely. Multiple sources are saying he's on the verge of agreeing to terms, perhaps as early as tomorrow.

i may be biased but assuming the cash is similar, i'd give the angels the edge. he has a friend already playing with the club in morales, a hispanic owner and a warm weather climate in orange county.

Oh Canada......
I thought the Red Sox learned there lesson already "Dice-K" ;)..... Not saying that Chapman is going to be a "Dice-K" I think Chapman is going to be very good from the videos I have seen on him.

I still hope the Jays land him.... since they seem to be heavy on him.

Shep :ugeek:

EDIT: My Boston buddies know I am just joking around :P.... probably thinking how can I razz we have Vernon Wells' contract, did I mention I am happy JP Retardi is gone haha.

I wish Cashman would smarten up. He is the future after Andy for crying out loud! 8-)

This kid doesn't even have any control does he? Just heat, pretty much nothing else from what I have heard.

Did you watch the WBC? Your boytoy Jeter was playing in it, thought you would have been watching.

I don't disagree as I think he'll wind up there. That said, playing in Canada could be an attractive option to a Cuban what with that pesky embargo in the States and all. Also, Toronto in the summer isn't exactly frigid. Sure, April might not be a day at the beach but it's not like he's a basketball or hockey player having to spend the winter here.

Actually, no I wasn't. I seem to recall that the WBC was brodcast on MLBN, which I don't have.

I did watch a few games on MLB.TV but only Netherlands games as I know someone that was on the team.

I have heard he would start out in AA on the Yankees if they signed him so I guess he's lacking something.

He's lacking age. Chapman is only 21 years old.
