makes sense to me. the angels have the money to spend, an ex-teammate and friend in morales and an hispanic owner who is great to play for. for $20 million or so, i'd be willing to take a chance on him. we have a need for another starter but we wouldn't necessarily have to rush him as 1-4, the angels are solid. thoughts?

Wonder why he hasn't signed yet. Now his signing bonus will be taxed. Heavily.

After seeing this OTL piece, I have a feeling Chapman might have problems. If the story was accurate, there are some things in there that make me (personally) question his priorities (or perhaps the priorities of his advisors). Things like "spent his first 4 days partying in A-Dam" while his girlfriend and baby daughter are still in Cuba, seeing the pictures of him with the fancy watches and diamond earrings...make me wonder. The last paragraph is telling.

Just how I feel personally; hopefully I'm wrong for the sake of whichever team gets him. Will he still perform once someone hands him a huge bank account? I hope so. Hopefully he'll have the right people in his corner to help him out. Having a friend on the team like Kendry would be good IMO.
