Hate to say it but it seems like a kick in the "insert the most painful part of your body here" for anyone looking to sell.

Seems cheap to begin with at only $.10 per card but from the way I am reading it they charge a 20% Cash-Out Fee. So if you sell and do not want to buy items on their site you are going to pay 5-7% (assuming 12-15% on ebay) more on fees than you would with ebay.

Not only that but you have to send your cards to them. What happens when they go out of business or decide to sell out????

Not sure I would use this site for anything more than buying.

I guess the big question is this: Would those cards sell if put up on eBay? If not, I could see it being worth it. If they would, then you make a very valid point.

I don't think they would. I think this 1998 UD3 project is a good example. I'm not going to buy 1-2 cards for $1 and pay $3 for shipping, which is a lot of what eBay has listed for these. This site allows me to buy 10-12 cards and pay way less combined in shipping.

It's an advantage for people like me looking to fill large holes in sets, is what I'm saying.

I like the site as a buyer also. I pretty much echo what everyone else has said, including shipping being pretty high if you buy 8 or 10 cards.

As for selling, I agree that the profitability looks questionable.

Thanks for the heads up! I just bought 30 cards I needed for a fraction of what they go for on eBay. I'm going to have to go back and take a closer look when I get my lists complete.

i dont understand the S&H Gripe. i bought 14 cards and S&H was $6.25

now if i am lucky enough to pick up 14 cards i need on ebay from lets say, five sellers, how much would my S&H be?

As noted. The site seems great for the buyer, but Im not sure I would sell anything there. With that note, I think people will stop sending stuff in as soon as they go to get a payout. Which creates the ultimate demise of the site.

Also what happens if you sell on the site and decide to quit? What are the cost associated with getting your cards back?

$6.25 is absurd. I just shipped a guy 24 game used cards for $2.50 and didn't lose money on shipping. I'm not saying they should go to that extreme, but they could stick the cards in a *free* Priority Mail box and ship it for $4 at the worst. If you bought 14 cards from five sellers on eBay you would probably pay $15ish shipping, but if you bought 14 cards from one seller on eBay and they jacked you for $6.25 you'd be mad.

i hear what you are saying, but my 14 cards are most unlikely from one submitter. the owners of the cards need to get something back, so i dont mind paying the $6.25.

plus, we are talking about this site from a set bulider/player collector standpoint. i think its great.

one thing i also love is that they not only have scans, but front AND back scans of every card that they
have listed.

i know its not feasable, but imagine if Burbank had the same feature?

just picked up about 15 bagwell's, and a jason tyner for the pc for about 20 bucks... I really focused on picking up the stuff that was in the 75-80% off book range.

Great site, and i will be looking to pick up some more bagwell's soon when i recoup some funds.

I just had my first batch of cards listed 898 items. They sent me back a Joe Montana RC that wasn't quite mint I thought I sent in 900, but one is missing. It took them 5 weeks to get my shipment uploaded and it costs $93.00 total.
It was listed yesterday at 11:40, here are my first 24 hour sales.

I have a couple of questions for sellers.....

What happens if your cards don't sell?

What if you want them back?

I guess the scenario I am asking about is this. You send them 1,000 cards. You do well, sell 600 of them, but the other 400 have been there 6 months and you are sick of paying the fees, etc. Can you get them back?

What if they go out of business? Are your cards gone BYE BYE?

They charge a .01 cent per card fee after 3 months. They max out shipping at $25.00 so you can get all your cards sent back to you for that amount. As for what happens if they go out of business, I think I would be screwed. I know they have been around for 2 years and I know some people who are friends with them from doing shows with them. There is always a chance they could disappear and take my cards with them, but in all honesty, my first batch of cards were stuff that was taking up room and if I was screwed over I would't miss them. Now if everything goes well, I probably will give them more stuff is higher book. I just sold a Carl Hubbell Topps Tribute 2001 for $3.00, so I am loving it so far.
