I have just been a buyer but this website is addictive! You never really have to worry about shipping and if you feel like it, you can instantly list the cards you just bought! And the 20 % juice is high but I think that if you ever want to cash out, your best bet is to just buy a few cards that you want and have them shipped!

And you don't have to worry about getting steals and the seller backing out when a guy heats up because you own the card with a click of a button, no waiting for shipment or payment details....

I hope someday it gets bigger and becomes a bigger alternative to ebay, it's really a fun site and takes a lot of work out of shipping and I am sure trading will catch on soon there

I have only bought there once but it was such an easy buying experience... They had everything I needed, and they shipped quickly. I even found a $7 card for $1.50 to add to my order 8-)

For those who have added cards, how does it work?

You just tell them that you are sending lets say (50) cards in and they add the description and beckett value with actual scan...Then do you get the option to assign prices?

You just ship them with your username, they'll do all the work and when it's done you set your prices. I'm a huge fan of COMC.

I use it regularly when I'm looking for specific cards. If the seller pricepoint were a bit better, I'd probably ship a ton of my stuff there and list it with cheap prices just to move it.

+1

that and if they didn't charge a storage fee for cards that don't sell. It's only like 0.01 per card per month but that can add up

COMC is addicting. I spent over $300 in 2 weeks. I could care less about some of the sellers who try to nickle and dime you but the majority of them are great. Ive thought about sending them some of the lower number and harder to find cards I have. My question for people who sell there do you send lower cards in or higher cards?

Ya I have been buying cards and have thought about just leaving the cards on there instead of having them shipped - there's so much less work involved with flipping prospect cards....Right now I have everything as not for sale, when a guy heats up, I can just instantly list the card, throw up a price, and sell the card! No worries about not getting paid, sorting and finding the card through an inventory or finding the time to ship the card.....All instant with the click of a button...while the fees seem high, you could end up buying and selling hundreds of times before cashing out and even then you can always buy a bunch of cards instead of cashing out...]
I coudln't find any info about the monthly inventory rates?

I rarely send anything over $10.00. I've sold 1211 cards with an avg sale of 1.44. Most of what I sold I would never sell at a show or on ebay.

do they scan all the cards for you as well??

ya, it says they have some type of patent pending technology which allows them to scan the cards in more quickly...I wonder how they do it...they must lay out the cards in an order side by side and take one picture that separates all the scans into individiual scans or something like that

They have front and back scans of every card which is something I really like. Being that I collect primarily vintage, it's nice not to have to worry about shooting someone a message requesting a back scan.

I recently purchased 2 cards from 2 different dealers there.
Well as luck would have it one of the cards is missing.
How and when do I get refunded on my Paypal account?
Here's a copy of the email I received.....

Set Name Card Description Cond Qty Amt Status Dealer
98 Flair Showcase Row 1 Grace FB 29 Hearst, Garrison NM 1 $5.00 Item(s) Shipped djsports
98 Flair Showcase Row 1 Grace FB 29 Hearst, Garrison NM -1 -$5.00 Missing/Refund Buyer djsports
98 Flair Showcase Row 1 Grace FB 36 Nash, Marcus NM 1 $2.50 Item(s) Shipped iguana02
Sub Total $2.50
Volume Discount -$0.00
Postage/Handling +$0.50
Total $3.00

I'm a bit confused as my original order was for the Hearst card for $5.00, the Nash card for $2.50 and $3.00 shipping for a total of $10.50 which was charged to my Paypal account.
I already received the Nash but it looks like I'm out the Garrison Hearst.
Do I have to pursue the refund or will COMC automatically refund me my money?

Thanks for any help guys.
David

It really is a fantastic website! I just yesterday cleaned out all of the Catricalas that were on there. One thing I was wondering, does anyone know if there's a way to contact a seller? I would really like to make an offer on a card but I can't do that unless I add the funds and I really don't want $150 tied up on that website, as the majority of the cards I buy are between two and five dollarsof

Never mind, this order was from Sportlots, not COMC. My mistake.
So far I have had no problems with COMC.

There's no way to contact sellers through the COMC site, but if your offer is not accepted, you get 30 days to cash out your store credit without paying the 20% fee.

I don't love the fact that you have to fund your account and have the funds in order to make the offer but at the end of the day, it is the ultimate way to make sure there is never a "non-paying winner"...

Frankly, I have only gotten an acceptance of an offer on a few low end cards, usually I get a counter offer for a dollar or more lol...which is fine, prices are fair and cards look to be in good shape

I usually stick around ebay prices maybe a little lower but rarely get counter offers. I hate when you offer a fair price and the seller sends a counter that is .10 cents less than their original price. My best experience has been with swagcards, never had a counter offer from him.

They currently have a shipping special on: $3.99 for up to ten cards, then 20 cents per additional card. Good deal if you're getting 5 or more cards shipped to you.
