Well, I finally got screwed out of some money on eBay.

Buyer won an auction for $95. I mixed up two items of the same player and sent him a card that sold for $125, but he wanted "his card" and filed with Paypal the day he got his package.

I told him to ship it back and I would try to get his card back, and if I couldn't by the time I got the card back, I would refund his money.

So, I selected the issue return when item is returned option, fast forward to today, when I got his package (left his name and address off the envelope) all that was in it was the case that I shipped the card in.

I called Paypal about it and they said that they'll look into it, but I'm assuming since he has a DC number, they will give him his money back. Wondering if I should contact the police or mail fraud in this situation or just wait to see if eBay/Paypal will do anything.

Weigh the package, and all materials in it including the empty holder. Take it to the post office and have return postage calculated. It should match the original cost of return to you... if so, send this information to PayPal. If he has done this before it will be a red flag. I've won a case doing this.
Hopefully the card in question has some weight to it... ?

good luck

Ironic. You're eBay feedback shows at least three other people who felt the same way.

Well, I guess getting refunds is considered considered screwing someone out of money these days.

They wouldn't ask for refunds if they didn't think they were getting screwed.

Why don't you learn more about the transactions before you accuse him? How do you know there wasn't buyers remorse or something of that nature? Also, I don't think Flightposite would attempt to scam someone. It doesn't seem like his MO.

Why don't you learn more about the transactions before you back him up? I don't care about the details. He's complaining about being burned, while at the same time having a bunch of negatives claiming he didn't follow through on his part as a seller.
