What does this do to Smoak who was just promoted to AAA?

What does this do to Smoak who was just promoted to AAA?

I don't think it does anything for Smoak right now. The Rangers are tied for 1st place right now and have plenty of options on the team right now. David Murphy is hitting well lately, Andruw Jones could play 1B if needed. And Washington seems to want to get Julio Borbon at bats as well. Blalock will move to 1B and leave DH open for the three players I mentioned above. Not to mention, Washington stuck with Davis this long. Who is to say they won't promote him back if he has a good week.

Smoak will need a trade or two and the Rangers falling out of contention to get called up before September.

Davis can either slide back over to 3B or one of them can play DH.
