I figured the O's were going to land Millwood. I guess the Rangers were willing to accept Ray as they are close to landing Rich Harden.

So looks like our rotation is (in no particular order):

Guthrie
Millwood
Matusz
Tillman
Bergensen

Ray had a very rough year last year but has good stuff. Hope he can bounce back. I always liked him.

I think Harden is an upgrade over Millwood. Local reports around here also have the Rangers close to sending Max Ramirez to Boston for Mike Lowell. Not sure how I feel about that!!!

Kevin Millwood/$3 Million for Chris Ray and a PTBNL per Roch Kubatko. Looks like an awesome deal, I think we got a steal on that. Ray did terrible last year and its time to move on.

Really? Very interesting, as it has been rumored pretty heavily that the Sox were likely only going to move Lowell in a similar bad contract deal.

Cant wait to see him next year playing the Yankees!

+1 I think he's good for the O's for a year or two. I can't imagine O's signing him for a long term deal since we have all the pitching prospects. Millwood gives veteran leadership the O's sorely needed last season...

Hope Millwood stays healthy and pitches well so he can mentor the young arms in the O's rotation. If so, it would be a terrific addition for the O's. Fingers crossed :) :) :)

The more I read about this the more excited I get. I don't expect Millwood to put up a Cy Young season or even a notch below that. Yet the intangibles that come with this deal are really valuable. Good job McPhail.

I agree, my fellow O's fan... I wonder what's going to be next - we still need a 1B, 3B and a couple of relievers...

Relievers for sure.

But I'd be happy to see Brandon Snyder & Josh Bell make the leap. :)

+1, but they need a couple more months in minor before being promoted. I wouldn't be surprised if they get promoted in the summer. (I hope that happens!)

Yah I see us signging a 1B or 3B short team....one or two years....to help Bell and Snyder grow more. I don't think either will start on the club Opening Day. I really thought Feliz was going to be an Oriole...now I have no clue who is going to be...
