Chrome Auto Showdown: Base vs Ref?

For my personal collection I have no preference if it is a Chrome auto or a refractor. I would be willing to pay the premium however on the Blue Refractor as that is my favorite

Good write up. You should probably have a picture of Slade ref and chrome beside the tidbit about Slade, though, instead of Grichuk pics. Makes more sense that way.

Looks good. I'd prefer refractors and am willing to pay 150-200% of base chromes.

i do it like this:

i would rather have:
2 chromes than a refractor
4 refractors than a blue refractor
3 blues than a gold
2 golds than an orange
5 orange than a red

if i cant get these within my budget, i will go with the first option for what i am looking for

Currently buying Jefry Marte Chrome Autos at these prices dlvd:

$8 Base
$12 Refractor
$25 Blue Refractor
$52 Gold Refractor
$65 Orange Refractor

I'd say I'm the opposite of yankeesfan24 in that I prefer the lower numbered parallels as opposed to a ton of Base. Give me 3 Blue Refractors over 10 Refractors any day.

It's quite funny to look at this poll.....

Clearly, most voting say they would not pay over 50% for a refractor auto over a base. But without even looking I would be willing to wager that a vast majority of refractor auto's sell for 50%-100%(or even more) greater than the base counterpart. Sure, examples of less can be found, but I'm talking majority averages here. Now what does this mean? Either most who are voting do not buy refractor auto's for there collections, or are simply just thinking wishfully.
