Chrome -v- Sterling Question?

Ok, so I want to add a 2006 Longoria Auto to the collection. I have noticed the Bowman Chrome Auto selling for about 2x the Bowman Sterling (just base cards in question not refractors). Is this just a function of the Bowman being out first. I mean the Sterling is a much higher end product. Personally, I like the way the both look and could see myself buying either one.

The main reason is Bowman chrome is perceive as the better RC plus people really like on card auto over sticker version. Plus with so many variation it create more news of recent high bid on ebay people doesn't notice as much from sterling. I'll take a thanks for the information
