He probably will finish in the top-5, but doubtful he's any higher.
Buchholz, Lester, CC, Price, Hernandez top 5? (not in that order)200lbhockeyplayer said:Is that trophy pic to assume that Buchholz will win the Cy Young?

Why not? Who are the top 5?
Buchholz ERA is based on a lot less innings pitched, and simply doesn't carry the weight.rehmus said:Sabathia doesnt have the ERA. Felix doesn't have the Wins.
it's a 3-man race. the other 3 guys have both.
Clay Buchholz's ERA is significantly better than the other 2 (half a point).
That's why Mr. Lester is lookin pretty darn good right now.rehmus said:Sabathia doesnt have the ERA. Felix doesn't have the Wins.

vwnut13 said:The main problem is, Buchholz has pitched to almost the same ERA as Hernandez....with 76 less innings pitched.
Hernandez averages 7.1 IP per start.
Buchholz averages 6 IP per start.
When you only have 145.2 IP, 76 innings makes a big difference.
Usually that is the case, that is why I do not see Felix winning the Cy. (Not saying he doesn't deserve it but 19-20 wins looks a heck of a lot better than 12)rehmus said:Correct me if im wrong but doesn't the Cy Young vote almost always (irrationally) favor W/L?

He can have 100 more Ks and 100 more innings, Felix isn't winning crap.
He would be a shoe-in for "once the games didn't matter you were lights out" award.
