Hey guys, was wondering if any of you have any tips for cleaning up cards before submitting them to BGS?

I didn't think you really had to do anything to them, but I've heard some people wipe them down.

What are some good tips before sending in cards for grading?

I've gotten a few sticker autos (Topps particularly) that seemed to have goo around the edges of the sticker. I used a dry q-tip or very very slightly wet q-tip to clean the cards. I've been pretty happy with how it worked out, especially on the chrome cards. You can't tell where the residue was at all. I haven't sent any for grading, however.

Do you guys use anything special to wipe down the surface, particularly with chrome/chrome refractors? I think I'll do some testing on some junk cards.

I've heard a felt cloth does pretty well.

i would recommend a eye glass cloth.
it seems to work on getting junk and finger prints off chrome cards.

I second that. I use an eye glass cloth, and have never had any problems.
