its unfortunate that the media was there

this time of year, that sort of things happen in clubhouses.

Often it does not get reported, and it almost never amounts to anything.

I imagine this happens pretty often. I know I get in arguments with employee's at work sometimes. Just part of the game.

Good leaders don't get called out like that.

Agreed. The best player isn't always the best leader, but it is better when they are.

Fish are in a bad spot right here.

Make or break is leaning toward break.

Hanley Ramirez has never, ever been a leader of the Marlins.

He has to. He leads in the amount he makes over the rest of the team.

Dan Uggla is a machine when it comes to in person signing. I know when I go watch a Braves game at Turnerfield, my Uggla cards will be signed. Hanley on the other hand always tells me to go to his website if I want a autograph.

I do not know the dynamics of that club house. But I do know that it's logical for teams to want high paid standout players to be team leaders. Perhaps over time Hanley will develop into one.

Doesn't surprise HOF Jim Rice. That is what puzzle me when Derek Jeter was one of them. Guy like J.Reyes & Hanley need to learn to play the game the right way in order to be a good leader.

If Hanley isn't trying, then I'd love to see his stats when he is. What's Uggla's excuse?

Not all great players are great leaders. Some become vocal leaders, some just do it on the field and set a standard to live up to.

Didn't someone call out Chipper Jones on a similar accusation a year or two ago?

Also, this part doesn't scream bad leader as much as Uggla being a dick:

While Ramirez was relaying what Uggla had told him after Tuesday night's game -- which was delayed nearly three hours at the start by rain -- other teammates publicly supported Ramirez.

"I know he went through some stuff," catcher John Baker said. "He's been hit by some pitches. He's been in the lineup every single day, and he's been battling for us through successes and struggles. I don't question any of his toughness, and I think maybe what you heard is more frustration about how we've been playing lately than anything."

Ugg is still bent after that 12 error inning in the All Star game.
