Mets are a horrible team, simply as that.. There only good player is .... I can't think of anyone. D.Wright is decent but not an all star. His stats are deceiving and his AVG is way overrated. He is NOT a leader.

I hate to say this, but this team has WAY TOO MANY HOLES to fill. I don't care if we get back Reyes, Delgaldo, Beltran, Putz and Wagner, they are still the same team from the past three seasons, a tease!

If I was a GM I would overhaul the team. The farm system sucks, fire Jerry and bring back Bobby V!

IF, and thats a big IF. I remember in the off-season Met fans were upset because they traded away their huge list of prospects for Santana. Who were they again? How are they doing right now?

For every Wright, I remember Huskey, Wilson, Pulsipher, Payton, Ochoa, Escobar, Heilman

I am disgusted as a Mets fan. I say toss Omar to the curb. The wife wanted to get me nice tickets for my birthday next week, and I told her I don't want to pay to see this AAA team on the field. I don't think they have enough to offer to fill all the holes they have. Omar is going to hide behind the injuries cuz the Wilpons love him. I agree, bring back Bobby V.

Many hindsight comments is all I can say.

In the Mets defense, who would expect this many of their key players to be hurt ? I would agree that even with everyone playing they still need to beef things up, and that was the flaw in the past off-season. Giving Perez that kind of money, I would have let him walk, and went after a bat, or a better pitcher. Again, hindsight is easy to comment on.

I do agree with the fact that nothing will be done. Why, even the addition of a player or two, might not provide anything other than depleting the farm system which is pretty depleted already. The Mets are just going to ride out this storm, hoping to say as close to the race as possible...although that is going downhill pretty fast.

Lets also not forget how many games this year could have been won, but weren't. They are their own worst enemy.

Jerry needs to keep the lineup the same for a period of time. The everyday lineup change, the shoddy defense, its just too much to overcome.

The deal for Johan the twins wanted was Hughes , Kennedy and Melky. The yankees thought and with all the "talent" they thought Hughes and Kennedy had it would have been a bad deal, The rotation the yankees intended to have last year was

back in March, i called for the Mets to lose 90 games, and a friend of mine went even further
out on the limb and called for the Mets to finish 4th in the NL east. we both may be right.

Yes, Chiti Field sucks. But thats not totally responsible for the poor team.

The Mets are not going to make a trade. there is no reason to make a trade, one bat and/or
one arm is not going to stop this ship from sinking.

The team is bad. It happens. I feel bad for Mets Fans under the age of 30, because they are
not likely to see a Mets World Series win before they are retired.
