Absolutely.

The best thing about his slump was how I was able to add to my collection.

That one reigns supreme in my collection.

Nice to see him putting more effort forward. That's all he was lacking.

I told Phil at dinner that I expect Homer to be lights out in 3 years when he figures out what Phil already knew (i.e., how to pitch). That was 2 years ago.

Right on schedule.

Hope he continues moving forward.

As a fan much more so than a card collector.

A few years back when the debate was hot on who was the bigger talent between Bailey and Hughes as the top pitching prospect in the game, it was so easy to overlook how young they both were. A guy like Felix is so rare, being able to get through big league lineups at 20. The natural progression is much more like Bailey, Hughes, and probably Buchholz than those once in a decade type talents like Felix.

Starting in the majors is definitely the toughest job for young players.

There is only one Tim Lincecum.

Time will tell if Strasburg can match his astonishing success.

Well a guy like Lincecum is hard to compare to these guys. He had the time to pitch in college and hone his skills. These guys came out of high school less refined. It's a different ballgame for them.

I'm talking about Lincecum being dominant at his age and right off the bat.

College guys just drafted...high schoolers with 3 years in the minors...doesn't matter.
