It was less than $100, because it was on a team-signed baseball (1930 Reds) in rough shape:

I still haven't obtained my 2010 collecting goal yet (Honus Wagner or Cy Young autograhed item), so I really haven't thought too much about 2011 yet. I've nailed some other nice autographs this year (Nap Lajoie, Eppa Rixey, had a third Babe Ruth autograph briefly), but need to get Young or Wagner by 12/31 to get the job done. Then I can think about 2011.

How much did that Eppa Rixey set you back? I havent even looked into them so you could tell me anything. I know he went to UVa and is the only ACC player to be in the HOF

1. Have money to collect anything.
2. Decide on a player to start collecting.
3. Stick to my budget if I have the free money to collect.

1956 Topps in somewhat decent conditions
2008 Masterpieces patches. Wasn't aware there were ~80 of them when I started.

For 2011, I'd like to make a few key additions to my T206 set:

1. Speaker
2. Mathewson (Dark Cap)
3. More Southern League players

....and if it is a really good year,

4. Johnson (Portrait)

Some GREAT Goals posted so far.

Haven't given much thought, but this thread inspired me to be Spontaneous (SP?).

2011 Goals:
#1: FOCUS........I have collecting A.D.D. I get easily side-tracked.
#2: Catalog My Player Collections, Spreadsheet,Beckett "My Collections" just to have a Concrete talley of what I have, and what I need.
#3: Downsize: get rid of cards that aren't in my "Focus" areas.
#4: Sell more than I buy.......That is always hard to do.
#5: Get DEEPER into Prospecting, do more Homework and start putting together some nice portfolios.
#6: Help out as many Fellow collectors, especially the younger, newer collectors (I.E. Members kids) with their "Budding" collections.

Hopefully I can Hold true to these GOALS, and the rest of you can as well.

Here is to a Productive 2011!!!

1) Finish my 2007 Finest Black set (almost there)
2) Get my hands on the 2005 Bowman Chrome Chris Young Superfractor.

With that said, those are the same goals I had for 2010... but 2010 was not a good year for me so let's just say 2010 was a year off. ;)

3)Further my Storen collection

1. Get all the RC base cards from 2010
2. 25 More Rookie Autos
3. Get a IP auto at a game.

My goals might not be as complex as others, but they sure are still hard for me to complete

1. Improve my website with added pages and with new scans of front and backs of all my Zambrano cards.
2. Add 8 autos to give me over 80% of all Z autos including 1/1s (currently at 180/233 or 77.25%).
3. Add another Z game used fielding glove.
4. Get 2 game used Z jerseys from years that I am missing (2001, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2009).
5. Get 4 new game used Z bats (to give me 13).
6. Organize my collection better.

If I do all of that I will be happy, and for the most part I think it is realistic.

I think my main goal is to get down to about no more than 500 PC cards. I'll probably keep some up for trade but it won't be a whole heck of a lot. I did fairly well on my 2010 goals. I don't know what I want to pick up in 2011 but I would like to get rid of most of my stuff that I have zero interest in.
