I know I already posted, but I want to go deeper.

1) Unload 90% of my cards. Base, inserts, most of my GU/numbered. All sports.
2) Finish my '69 Deckle Edge Set.
3) Obtain 100 more cards for my 1958 set
4) TTM more. Certs don't really do it for me.
5) Learn framing. I will mainly use it for framing my index cards with 8x10s
6) Move my focus to vintage. Modern cards aren't that great to me.

I am hoping 2012 is a more productive year for my collection than 2011 was. I ended up having no set goals for this year because I wasn't 100% sure if my heart was going to be in it or not, but I am coming back around to growing my different collections.

Richard Hidalgo

Reach 35 different autographed cards - currently sitting at 26/56 (Beckett lists 55 autoed cards of his, but I have one unlisted Venezuelan league autoed card)
Reach 250 different inserts/parallels - currently sitting at 189
Reach 8 different 1/1 - currently sitting at 5
Reach 20 different game used cards - currently sitting at 6
Reach 300 different base cards - currently sitting at 233/328
Acquire a game used bat, jersey or cleats (preferably autographed) - currently have game used, autoed batting gloves

Sets

Complete 2008 Topps
Complete 1985 Topps

Other Collections

Continue to add more and more base cards to my Tennessee Titans/Houston Oilers collection
Pick up 3 auto's out of this group: Dirk Nowitzki, Larry Bird, Jason Kidd, Jeff Bagwell, Nolan Ryan, Warren Moon, LaDainian Tomlinson, Pete Maravich, Steve McNair, Mike Piazza, Chipper Jones
Pick up 5 pre-1920's baseball cards

There may be a few more, but these are definitely ones I want to take a run at.

My goal this year is to help put 1,000 cards in to other collectors hands, either by selling or trading them.

My favorite aspect of this hobby/business (yes it is a business for me) is to help whoever I can with their awesome collections.

My baseball goal is to find this card...

4086391c-918e-0fa1.jpg

I have been working on the set for over 5 years. Finding that card will complete my 1980 Charlotte O's Police set.

In regards to football it is tough to put a "goal" on my Manning collegiate collection. I would love to eventually hit 75% of the total run. However, it is not like the cards I need are readily available. The last I checked I was around 58% of the total checklist.

From 2011...
1) Rip more wax. I haven't opened a whole box in years, but I anticipate breaking a good amount of Topps Heritage. That will allow me to reach goal #2.
2) Get a Sandy Koufax Real One red auto from Topps Heritage. I'm hoping it's in my case.
3) I'd like to knock out some of the Sizemore cards I need from the '00s. Some are very tough, some I've only seen once or nonce, but they've got to be out there. 2004 Pristine Gold auto, 2008 Timelines auto, 2005(?) Donruss Team Heroes #/10, various 1/1s are at the top of the list.
4) Get the 1975 Topps PSA 8 card that's incorrectly listed as a mini changed to a regular so my registry set will go back up to 100% officially. I've only been putting that off for 3 years.
5) Depending on what they look like, go after the Topps Heritage Chrome Black Refractor set.
6) Finish some sets I've got hanging out forever: 1955 Bowman, 2005 Old Judge Golds #/20 Chris Burke, 2008 Timelines #/25. Get at least the Joe D or Ted Williams for my 1941 Play Ball.
7) Find a complete GU jersey of Sizemore.
8) Figure out what major PSA graded set I'm going to spend the rest of my life building, T-206, 1933 Goudey, or 1952 Topps. Right now I'm leaning to '33 in PSA 4-5.
9) Get a set of Mishra's Workshops (expensive nerdy MTG cards).
10) Sell a ton of stuff to pay for 1-9.
11) Finally build a website for my collections. I've been planning on using it as a tool for learning Ruby, but I'd like to just get it done already.

Haha, I was so naive back then. Ripped just a few packs of wax, couldn't commit to any boxes or cases. Found a 2008 Timelines Sizemore autograph, but I probably only found a few of his older rare cards. He's just not a popular sales item ATM. Only found a couple cards for the low-print-run sets I'm working on, but made good progress on 1955 Bowman. Started a website, but I build websites for a living so the last thing I want to do when I get home is spend more time building websites. I did start on a new project set that's almost done (Lineage mini jerseys) but the Mantle eludes me at a reasonable price.

For 2012, it's likely just Sizemore, Thomas, and completing sets that have been hanging around forever. I don't foresee ripping a ton of wax or any new project sets, but that probably means that I'll become a bigger ripper than Brentandbecca and get deeply involved in a half-dozen new rare sets. Still need to swap out my missing 1975 PSA 8, though. That's annoying.

Well I really didn't have much as a goal for 2011 due to working situations and I put my goal in my sig as surviving

For 2012:

Add 4 more Brett Lawrie Chrome Blue refractors
Throwback refractor and Xfractor of Lawrie
Get atleast 5 Lawrie Chrome autos
Try to get Gold and Orange base refractors of Lawrie (Orange will be as high as I'll be able to go it appears)
Need 21 more base to get to 50, may go for 100 Base

1. Downsize and Organize. Keep the ball rolling on sending out free stuff and have things sorted to the point that I know for sure the contents of each box when looking for a certain card.

2. PSA graded t206's of Walter Johnson and Ty Cobb. (Not sure of grade yet)

3. Really focus on 90's inserts and vintage baeball/football PC's.

4. Add a few RC slabs of HOF (signed and unsigned)

My collecting goals for 2012:

1. Fully organize my Player Collections with pictures (cause I don't have a scanner, nor the money for one) and a Photobucket, or posts on my blog.
2. Add 20+ more cards to my Ryan Kalish PC. I added a lot to it this past year and I feel that will continue, even with the lack of new stuff.
3. Add 30+ more cards plus a GU/Auto card to Tim Wakefield PC. I've been slacking a bit with this one recently, so I want to get back on track with it a little.
4. Figure out if I want to continue collecting Jacoby Ellsbury. He has a lot of stuff and it is pretty much easily available, but I just don't have the budget right now.
5. Cut back on wax spending. Especially being on a budget should mean no more impulse retail wax purchases. Maybe I'll bust next year's Score Hockey or Topps Flagship (and maybe a little Heritage), but the rest I need to cut back on.
6. Be smart. I can't kill my (limited) budget on card purchases. I can have a little fun, but not too much.

EDIT - 7. Start collecting a interesting set or insert. I'm thinking of maybe the 2009 Heritage Clubhouse Collection Relic Set, as it is pretty cheap and I like the design.
8. Chip away at my set wantlists. Most importantly: finish the 2010 Updates Set.

I was shocked to see I didn't have a '11 Collecting Goal list . Must've filled out for the '10 one instead and totally forgot about 2011.

Well, here's mine:

1) Reach 100 pack issued / company issued (blank back jive) 1/1's of Josh Johnson.
2) Reach 750 autographed pack issued cards of Josh Johnson (around 500 now)
3) Go to the Marlins / Cardinals opener
4) Get about a dozen things personalized to my daughter, most of which I'll have to use connections on here or Facebook and then Twins Fest for her. I got a few last year, but I want to really ramp up her collection this upcoming year (got a money order in the mail for an auto'd "Outlaw" Ron Bass 8x10 now :D)
5) Find the '06 Ultimate Dual Logo of Josh Johnson & Joel Zumaya and acquire it
6) Acquire the '06 Ultimate Triple Auto 1/1 of Johnson, Verlander & Weaver. I know where it's at, the person just doesn't want to sell it ... FML
7) Meet or correspond with Josh Johnson.
8) Go to one of the bigger Twin Cities Shows, since there'll be no Nationals this year for me.
9) As painstakingly painful it is for me to type this, sell anything of Johnson that I've got dupes of if he is white hot again this season. There's stuff that went for $120 in April that I picked up for $25 in September. ::facepalm::
10) Load up before the season on anything unique, rare or just eye catching of Johnson.

That's what I can think of, right now.

1. Get and stay focused.
2. Choose a lower end HOF player to collect (down to Bench and Morgan). I used to collect Dale Murphy and Carl Yastrzemski, but I hated how some of the Murphy cards looked and Yaz cards are out of my price range.
3. Decide if I still want to work on a team collection. Some player's cards are just too expensive to buy and 1/1s make it worse.

I left this off earlier. I'm trying to get my collection on Zistle (I'm only 300 cards in). Hopefully have it done by spring. Just don't get much time to do it.

Completed the T205 Yankees from last year's list and still don't have a Ruth auto (may be a while on that one). A also completed the Diamond Star Yankees, which wasn't on my list.

for 2012:
Keep tracking down the two T207 Fisher cards I need.
Keep tracking down the T202 Ford Putting Over a Spitter (with Ford & Vaughn) and the Chase Gets Ball Too Late (with Chase & Wolter).
Complete the 1961 & 1963 Post Yankees.
Work on 1950 and earlier Yankees.
Complete the 1961 Fleer Greats of the Game Yankees.
See how close I can get to 6000 baseball autographs....currently at 5599.
Attend at least 15 Salem Red Sox games to get IP autographs.

Perhaps this is the year I will stick to my goals (and be able to afford them)....

1) Collect 10 unique autographs and 10 unique relics of Chris Young (Padres/Mets).
2) Pick up a 1/1.
3) Open a hobby box.
