YOU KNOW
Who do you guys like?
Right now, if I had to choose one team, I would say michigan state. kalin lucas is the best player in the country imo and durrell summers is great as well.
I liked purdue but that was obviously before hummell went down.
I think kentucky might be a bit underrated (ranked 9th or something so not necessarily underrated but just not a lot of people talking about them) knight might be the 2nd best PG in the country. i can see them in the final four.
i think pitt, unc, kansas state, and nova are all ranked too high.
kansas is another team i like in the final four.
this year is really top heavy with a big drop unlike years past

Despite becoming bowl eligible last week, I'm pumped that it's now basketball season! The Illini have a nice mix of senior leadership and young studs. The early loss to Texas hurts, but not too bad.

What the hell did Kemba Walker do over the summer?

I knew he was Uconn's best player coming back, but he's just been ridiculous so far this year.

So does that mean Kentucky is going to be in the consolation game too. :D

Or does Terrance Jones get to meet Mr. Walker.

Villanova is the best team in the Big East.

Granted, the conference is down, but they strike me a team that is going to the Final 4. Balanced, inside and out, good D, good FT shooting and Fisher is probably better than Reynolds was.

BTW, I posted it elsewhere, but has anyone seen how bad Auburn is this year? 1-3 with all 3 to much lesser teams and they barely beat Middle Tenn. St. at home. :?

Duke is by far the best team in college basketball. Absolutely dismantling Kansas State while Michigan State loses to a weak UConn.

I'm not saying Duke runs the table or anything but clearly the best team right now. And it's not even close.

Duke has a lot going for them this year, they are very scary team. I'm a Kentucky fan and hope they can make a real run. Jones looks to be a beast... to bad Kanter is ineligible. GOOOO C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS!

Uh OH.....The Kitty-Cats ran into the Dogs tonight. :D

In all seriousness - I'm a Uconn fan and thought this was going to be a long year......this has really come out of nowhere.
Don't know what will happen after this - but maybe this will be the year Calhoun does what he hasn't really done much in the past (or hasn't done since Uconn has been relevant) and lead an unheralded team to a big season. The Final Four runs he's made have all been when he's clearly had one of the best teams in the country. He's also looked pretty drained with some of the teams/players the past few years - maybe a young ego-less team is a breath of fresh air and exactly what he needed.

Either way - these past couple nights have been fun to watch.

Well this will be a disappointing year for my UCLA Bruins. They are 3-0 but they haven't played anyone decent and the scrubs they have played they haven't blown away like they should have. As long as Duke doesn't win it all I'll be happy.

Zags. :(

And Butler just isn't the same without Heyward. Although they did hang with Duke for most of the game, so that's something to hope with.

is duke still the heavy favorite?
Without Kyrie Irving for the season? Who knows, but if he comes back, then yes.

The talk around here is that it's not good.

Notre Dame vs Kentucky should be a good game tomorrow. excited to see if this Irish team can hang

By March, Kentucky is going to be one of the most overrated teams in the country. We don't play anybody between now and march because the SEC is horrendous and the non conference toughies are all but through, so they will end the season in the top 10 and grab a #2 seed at worst. We have 2 major problems. 1) No big men 2) No depth, literally no depth. Cal has a 7 man rotation going.

Tennesee sent a message to the SEC today with ANOTHER impressive road win vs. a Top 10 team.

A ton of great, close games today. Very cool!

and yes, Miggy, Duke is the HUGE favorite, even if Irving is out for a while.

Watching Uconn vs. Coppin st.
What an ugly start.
It was almost like Calhoun said - "Kemba we know you can do whatever you want against them.....let's try to get everyone else involved, active, give them some work".

He may have taken like one shot the first 9 minutes of the game. It was 13-12 Uconn or something like that. Then it was like that Jordan/Kobe - that's gone far enough moment.....and he scores 11 points in like 2 min's.

He's just been incredible.....really fun to watch.

Guess my "'Nova is best team in the conference" statement isn't going to happen. :(

With 9 upsets already today in the Top 25, and a couple of teams losing, this could be biggest non-Tourney day for Ranked teams losing, in my memory at least.
