I've been hearing rumors of a few things, possibly Colorado leaving the Big 12, the Big 12 becoming the Big 14 or the Big 12 being disassembled. All in the next 2-3 years, anyone heard about this?

You guys should either drop Colorado and pick up TCU or add TCU, Boise and/or Utah. Though a 14 team conference is too big for football

I think some of these ideas have begun to gain momentum when the Pac-10 got a new commissioner earlier this year. It has been speculated that he is open to the idea of expanding to 12 teams. A pairing of say, Colorado and Utah, would likely fit that in terms of major sports programs/regional location/school size, etc.

I haven't read any rumors of how the Big 12 would respond to that scenario. Or the Mountain West Conference. Mainly because it is all speculation and nothing has actually happened.

Dropping Colorado for TCU regionally would be a smart move for the Big 12 if it stayed intact. I would not know where they would find their 13th and 14th teams. Maybe BYU to start if Utah bails on the MWC?

If this happened, I could see them adding Boise/BYU/Utah to take the spot rather than just dismantling it.

I could see Missouri ending up as a 12th team in the Big 10 if the Big 12 is broken up.

Drop Colorado and have them either put in the Mountain West or Pac 10, MW because Colorado is awful but Pac 10 if they can somehow stay in a BCS confrence. Then put TCU in the Big 12. I'd also love to see Miami and Florida State move to the SEC.

I'm guessing they'll pick up a school and keep it the big 12 or take it to 16. The league is far too profitable to fold.

If the Pac 10 is going to add two schools, they should be Hawaii and BYU.

The two schools rumored to be joining the Big Ten for years have been Missouri and Notre Dame. The Big Ten isn't interested in schools with garbage academics - we've already got Michigan State and Ohio State (and Penn State, really) dragging the rest of the conference down academically. Pitt would be another interesting option.

The most natural fit for the Big 12 would be Arkansas, SMU and TCU, which would bring them back to the old SWAC days.

Honestly, I think it would be cool to see a big conference shake-up, with Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas and Kansas State leaving the Big 12 to form their own conference with Colorado State, Wyoming, Air Force, Utah, BYU, Boise State, Idaho and Utah State. Pac 10 adds Hawaii and Nevada. Big 12 adds Arkansas, SMU, TCU, Houston and UTEP.

Put Boise St., BYU and Utah in the Pac 10 and change the name, put Colorado in the Mountain West since they suck, put TCU in what is now the Big 12, put Iowa St. in what is now the Big 10 and drop the North/South part of the Big 12.

why would you drop the north an south? that would make everything all werid because you cant play every team in the conference so you play the whole north an some south but it makes no sense to take it out because how would you have a championship game.

The Big 10 needs to add a 12th team and I think Missouri makes sense. It's a midwestern state school (sorry ND) that would add a solid TV market in St. Louis (sorry ISU).

ND is more of the team that will go in the Big ten in the next 1-3 years because they are not in a conference an the big 12 will not add any one or drop anyone its just not going to happen

Well your great confrence doesn't have a division and no confrence championship game, I think all confrences should either not have a championship game or all have one.
