Im waiting for them to change their policy on making offers so you can make the offer according to what your willing to pay and not that you can only offer half the asking price. I think some of the sellers purposely mark up the cards knowing that you can only offer as low as half price on it which is still a good sale on the majority of the items.

This really isn't an issue because a seller can price cards at 50% more then they are willing to take. Just because they get rid of the 50% rule doesn't mean your offer will be accepted. If a seller has a high asking price he probably isn't going to take your low offer. As a seller I greatly appreciate this rule as it keeps me from getting a bunch of low ball offers.

so basically you'd rather sit on your cards if they aren't getting any offers and keep paying the storage fee then move the card for a reasonable offer even if its less than half your asking price? with hot cards I can see that but if you put stuff on here that is like what I look for of my player and not a big seller I would say anyone that gives reasonable offer you move it to make max profit versus losing with it sitting there forever.

Yes my cards are priced that I would not accept an offer for less then 50% of my asking price. I sell enough each month to easily cover my storage fees so I have no interest in selling for cheap. I could see giving sellers the option to accept offers of less then 50% but to just open it up for everyone would be a disaster.

One feature that I am working with that I am sure some of you know about but maybe not all of you.... you can now use the shopping cart to make offers.... The seller may have 20 cards that are less than a dollar a piece. You can add them all to your cart and then make a group offer for all 20 cards.... As a seller, I would be much more inclined to making a deal (better than listed prices) with someone that is making a larger purchase rather than nickle diming me for 20 individual offers...

Another thing that gets me is this..... This morning, someone loaded up a bunch of 1987 Topps cards....a nice set, but not a great one... For the cards that had others listed, he/she competitively listed them at or below the competition to make them move....then for the ones where they were the only one listed, they priced them at $.50. Now if a Bonds rookie (the best card in the set with an $8 BV) is selling at $.75, I do not see any one shelling out $.50 for a Floyd Bannister + the shipping fee to finish their set.... I can see charging $.20 to $.25 to make a small profit, but $.50 will only earn you a bunch of storage fees....

Anyone know if the changes took effect?
The site still says $0.15 each, and I'm about to do a big mailing -

I would disagree, my boss uses the site (i work in a sports store/card shop) and well she overprices, but common base cards from the 1990s, i've seen the account and many times people will pay 99 cents for base cards that book under $1..On average she sells $125-$300 in sales and the prices are close to book value..now there are cards that have been sitting forever but when you make close to book on every card you sell its worth it, i guess.

Supply and demand.....seems smart to me. Even if their scrubs, I'd still consider 50 cents "cheap" especially when you're able to buy multiple cards at once. Those are cards that probably don't get listed on ebay and if no one even bothers to send them into COMC, you mine as well take advantage of that.....someone may want them.

What I don't get is how you make money period sending in 25 cent cards.
I also love the idea of the site....but I was taking a look at all the fee's and unless I'm reading this wrong, it's 15 cents (the cheapest) per card....then on top of it they take 20% whenever you withdraw funds?
I's love to send in boxes of cards, and would happy to get a quarter for a lot of them......but with that fee structure, I just don't see how it makes sense.

That 10-cent increase was only a proposed change. It never went into effect.
