So last night on X there was a LOT of discussion about COMC possibly circling the drain among folks who are fairly reputable. Looked like several employees quietly and indirectly announced resignations/terminations in other posts....... sort of vague........ anyone know anything real?

All I know is the COMC product and service has been trending downwards for a long time. I read the discussion you described and had everything shipped to me and had my store credit refunded. I know a sinking ship when I see one.

Pre-COVID they were the absolute best. I remember the days when you had a question and could call and talk to Tim and he'd figure it out. They just got too big too fast, made a series of poor choices, and then got slammed by renewed demand they couldn't handle during COVID.

I agree with you for the most part. I think part of the issue is probably the clientele too though. Eventually, all good, small, secret bargain spots go public, everyone wants a piece and next thing you know there are no bargains to be found. Ebay isn't far off. Used to be you could find some amazing deals and the majority of listings were auctions. Now a good 50% or more of what I search for and find are fixed price listings, some with best offer, many without.

I have a shipment that needs to be mailed off. Been holding off because of the ridiculous new policy on shipping and the cost (i think my latest shipping is around $25 for the cheapest bulk ship option I have available), but also it seems every time I request a shipment, something catches my attention and i buy another item that will have to be shipped later.

I don't think we could be stuck not getting our cards back if something happens, but who wants to test that theory or experience delays in getting them due to legal reasons? I have been slowing my COMC buying since Covid to only what I consider is the bare minimum. I rarely search now, only looking when new Dodgers debut or if an ebay auction is being sold by them and i win it. Their handling of orders during Covid left a very sour taste in my mouth and I acknowledge that they were at least partially handcuffed with a variety of legit reasons, I still blame how it was handled and ultimately resolved on their management decisions. I'd hate to see it completely disappear, but it is a shell of what it was in say 2019, in my opinion.

Just requested my shipment. It may be my last one of 34 total shipments, with at least 1 per year (5 in 2016 was the most in a year) since 2011. Let's see how they do this time. I am being told I need to wait a month plus for them to ship about 130 cards after paying them almost $30! This is my cheapest option available. No, I will not pay a premium to get them here quicker. They could ship them to me 3 day priority 3X over practically at what I am paying for shipping. These guys have lost their minds. COMC used to be a great shipping option. Buy a bunch of small $ stuff and have it shipped together. Sellers sell their small stuff, buyers save $. Everyone wins. Not so much anymore.

Hate to lose this option, but I think moving forward bulk lots are $20 s/h. That is just not worth it anymore.
