So last night on X there was a LOT of discussion about COMC possibly circling the drain among folks who are fairly reputable. Looked like several employees quietly and indirectly announced resignations/terminations in other posts....... sort of vague........ anyone know anything real?

All I know is the COMC product and service has been trending downwards for a long time. I read the discussion you described and had everything shipped to me and had my store credit refunded. I know a sinking ship when I see one.

Pre-COVID they were the absolute best. I remember the days when you had a question and could call and talk to Tim and he'd figure it out. They just got too big too fast, made a series of poor choices, and then got slammed by renewed demand they couldn't handle during COVID.

I agree with you for the most part. I think part of the issue is probably the clientele too though. Eventually, all good, small, secret bargain spots go public, everyone wants a piece and next thing you know there are no bargains to be found. Ebay isn't far off. Used to be you could find some amazing deals and the majority of listings were auctions. Now a good 50% or more of what I search for and find are fixed price listings, some with best offer, many without.

I have a shipment that needs to be mailed off. Been holding off because of the ridiculous new policy on shipping and the cost (i think my latest shipping is around $25 for the cheapest bulk ship option I have available), but also it seems every time I request a shipment, something catches my attention and i buy another item that will have to be shipped later.

I don't think we could be stuck not getting our cards back if something happens, but who wants to test that theory or experience delays in getting them due to legal reasons? I have been slowing my COMC buying since Covid to only what I consider is the bare minimum. I rarely search now, only looking when new Dodgers debut or if an ebay auction is being sold by them and i win it. Their handling of orders during Covid left a very sour taste in my mouth and I acknowledge that they were at least partially handcuffed with a variety of legit reasons, I still blame how it was handled and ultimately resolved on their management decisions. I'd hate to see it completely disappear, but it is a shell of what it was in say 2019, in my opinion.

Just requested my shipment. It may be my last one of 34 total shipments, with at least 1 per year (5 in 2016 was the most in a year) since 2011. Let's see how they do this time. I am being told I need to wait a month plus for them to ship about 130 cards after paying them almost $30! This is my cheapest option available. No, I will not pay a premium to get them here quicker. They could ship them to me 3 day priority 3X over practically at what I am paying for shipping. These guys have lost their minds. COMC used to be a great shipping option. Buy a bunch of small $ stuff and have it shipped together. Sellers sell their small stuff, buyers save $. Everyone wins. Not so much anymore.

Hate to lose this option, but I think moving forward bulk lots are $20 s/h. That is just not worth it anymore.

I debated whether or not I should try to request these cards before the Black Friday "sale". I ended up waiting and didn't find much for sale, as has been the case the last couple of years. Now it's been a month so far and not much movement on items ahead of mine. Not sure 1/7 is a realistic ship date at this pace.

I may rescind this by the time the season starts, but I really wanted this to be my last ever COMC shipment. The thrill and value just isn't there anymore. The streak of at least 1 shipment, often several, each year since 2011 is in jeopardy of snapping in 2026.

I knew it was coming, but still bothers me and gives me another chance to flip them the finger and talk smack. COMC is officially dead to me. I will abandon my $0.18 store credit and will refuse to spend any more of my money with them. They clearly favor the one and done buyers who go through Ebay or Amazon over longtime collectors who have been with them for a decade plus and no longer value people who want to build up a large shipment, the one thing that made them what they are today.

My ship date was pushed out 5 weeks, now sitting at just under 3 months from time of request until expected ship date. $28.94 bulk shipping fee for 128 cards = money "well" spent. The LAST $ COMC will see from me.

@mrmopar looks like we're in a dead heat. Wonder who'll get theirs first?
This company has turned into a POS. My date got moved back again. There is no accountability on their part. They can just keep bumping my "estimated" ship date and there isn't jack I can do about it! Their service does suck ass. I paid for the "cheap" service, so I just get stuck waiting, despite my shipping charge being close to $30. F these guys. This is my last order, guaranteed. They are dead to me now. Don't care about any benefits they may still offer now, which i am blanking on what they might be at this point, if any. Just want my last order so I can make a clean break and forget about these turds.

This post had me curious as to what my history has been and it was interesting to see. From 2012 to Jan 2020 I had 16 orders shipped. The longest was 9 days. The shortest 3 days. I didn’t ship again until 2023 and that was exactly a month. I needed a boost to get my latest inventory shipped and reading this did that. I requested shipping yesterday so I’ll see how mine goes.

At least mine has been packaged to be sent to my country. Estimated ship date pushed back a bit but maybe I'll see them next week, or by the end of the month? Definitely not much progress since my last update a week ago.

Well, I guess i "won". They actually shipped my order today. I might have it as early as Saturday, although never know with USPS these days. It's only about an hour drive away.

They beat their latest estimate by 5 days, but it was still a month+ after their initial estimate. Half a million+ items and 2.5 months later....

Happy to be getting it and equally happy to now be a FORMER customer of COMC. Thanks for the first 10 years, not so much the last 5 years. My first COMC order. Took 4 days to ship right after Thanksgiving!

Wait, never mind. Shipped really means we are getting ready to ship! This company...something else.
