That's what I was going to suggest, COMC could have a link to FCB for oddball questions and you may get more members (if thats what you want)cgilmo said:I am trying to get them to just post a scan here on the boards when they have a question.

You all will come to this site, post in various threads about specific cards/players/sets/etc, but you won't help out a good hobby site?
Did you ever think that your help can make that site bigger and better, which could bring payments and/or free stuff in the future? That would be too easy, huh. Sorry, but it's stuff like that really grinds my gears.
This is a hobby, full of interactions with others, and 99% of us don't get paid to do it. Support the good parts that still remain, because pretty soon all the negativity is going to ruin it. It's already slowly dying on behalf of the companies, so why continue the trend?
Be proactive, not reactive.
Good hobby site? No, that's a good "business" site. They do it as a business, not a hobby. They collect currency, not cards. Big difference. Ok, now that we got that out of the way, I am not referring to cash payouts. If they expect people to work for them for free (its not a charity, so you are working for free), they should add an area to their website where this knowledge can be accessed by the general public since its the general public who is providing this information. And since they are saving money, maybe they should reduce or discount their fees. Some sort of incentive where they don't have to pay out anything, but save customers money.
But the general public can already access the information anyone on this board might provide for free. If you have an oddball card, COMC is a great place to try to identify it. They have huge scans of the front and back of all their cards, and they have the year and set (which might have been provided by a volunteer).
All available without charge. To anyone. It helps the hobby to have these cards identified correctly.

Eh, I don't really care much for the reciprocating link unless they just want to do it.
But I wouldn't mind if the people entering cards into their system popped on here and said hey, what is this card?

why not a reciprocating link Gilmo? would that be because they wouldn't be giving any site support to this board and using its members for their own benefit? if so thats exactly the point I was making when I first responded.
