I am not sure when this feature was added or available but as I was poking around COMC today I noticed a section off to the left which said "Sold Out" under all the search features and it has three options (1) Ignore, (2) Include and (3) Only Sold Out. I thought I knew what it meant but tested it out anyways...

It's essentially what we have all been pounding the table on with previous eBay searches not showing up past 30 days or whatever... you can literally go back and see ALL cards every sold on COMC and if you have a log-in and history points, you can even see what it sold for! I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing because as I went through ALL the Albert Belle sales, I saw plenty of cards that I don't already have an just scratched my head and hated the idea that I missed them at some point... even some cheap ones like a 1998 Tek Diffractor for less than $4!

Anyways, has anyone else seen this? Used this? Thoughts or maybe you've already hung yourself after seeing a ton of cards you missed and now it's just a tease haha?

Either way thought I'd give the board a heads up to this feature... again, not sure how long it's been up there or how long it will be up there... could potentially be something they charge us to use eventually and now they're testing it, not sure.

I mentioned a few of my discoveries in the 90's thread. There have been 134 Diffractors sold on COMC, but I didn't dare to see what they sold for. I'd probably cry.

A ton of the sold out Troy Glauses are at my house right now; of the 1700+ I have right now, I'd guess around 600 are from COMC. That was nice, seeing a gallery of cards I've purchased.

I kinda suspect COMC added this feature as a "screw you guys!" to people who don't use the site. Now you can go on and see what exactly you've been missing out on.

In going through it was neat to see a lot of Oleruds I remember buying myself. One definite "doh!" that I somehow missed:

There were a disgusting amount of PMGs that went for no money at all!!!! Someone was picking them up for under $5 each, and not just commons; at least one Larry Walker went for under $5, I think a Jim Edmonds as well, and a Juan Gonzalez for $6.35.

I love that they finally put this feature into effect. Helps when both deciding to send stuff in that isn't currently available and a potential price to set it at. Glad to see that some stuff has sold before, when I've never seen it on there.

Many of the prices listed in the sold out listings are inaccurate. I saw at least 10 different cards I bought that showed I paid $1.00 or less for them and I paid more for them. Big surprise, their price accuracy is about as accurate as their search engine lol.

Did more than one copy sell? They only show the highest sale price if multiple sales.

Not sure why that would matter if I paid more than what the price shows it as selling for. I'd take this sales data with a grain of salt.

The thing is where would the info be coming from ? I am not sure / doubt they are changing the sold prices , I would think it's just being pulled from a database not manual. But who knows
