This is about the Rangers success folks. So, what do you think Texas will pay to keep Lee next year?
They can't, they're bankrupt.

Just like they shouldn't have been able to get him in the first place.

I thought I heard it reported that the TV deal the Rangers signed will allow them to drum up a fair contract to him? Am I wrong in that?

Hey, idiots

Brian closed several near-identical threads and merged them in to this thread because it would take up most of the front page of the baseball forum. He isn't dodging Yankee hate; he's consolidating it. He doesn't care if people talk shat about the Yanks. He's been here since game 1

Is this too difficult to comprehend?

Take it from a Yankees hater who, according to FCB, trolls everyone and every thread. I am more than qualified to comment on this

And you sound like an incredible ****** while doing it.

Sometimes I have no choice but to act like a ****** to get my point across. Being brutally honest is the only way I can get through to some people

I enjoy the irony of you using your "freedom" to call people idiots while acting like a couple threads about the Yankees made a couple minutes after they lost is some kind of crazy thing and should be censored.

IF Texas wins the WS, i could see Lee being willing to stay in Texas for *less money (*he'll be mega-rich either way, but i think he might have finally found a home)

congrats to the Rangers and their fans - I'm talking about the ones that have stuck with them through LOTS of lean years.

congrats also to Josh Hamilton - he's made a lot of bad choices in his life, but they've shaped who he is today. I'm praying he stays humble and grateful.

I was reading one article, and it said that the Taxes are less in Texas than NY. So he could take a lesser contract, but end up making the same amount of money. Which will be a lot.

Long term big money deal with Fox. This plus increased ticket/merchandise sales means the Rangers will be profitable again. They will make a strong run at Lee. They are at $55M now. I've heard Greenburg hint at $90ish payroll soon.

I hope Texas resigns him. I don't want him anywhere near the Bronx, except when he's kicking the Yankee's ass AGAIN.

wow, all i can say is wow. im a lifelong rangers fan. never cheared for anything else harder in my life then what i just witnessed. it was great. i am blesssed to see my team in the world series. i was lucky enough to have a wife that considers me a huge ranger fan enough that when tickets were selling out, she bought me a ticket because she says that i have taken a ride with them for a while with nothing but optimism. always talking about the new kids coming up, the possibilities and now, the relief knowing that my team is IN. THEY MADE IT TO THE FALL CLASSIC. for once i get to see my team play the last games of the season. i am in shock and aww. this is awesome!!!!

See, it's guys like Rangers25 that I'm happy for, this World Series shot means so much to him, just like 04 did for me. Not the "Just throw that trophy on the pile with all the others" mentality.

I know exactly what you mean. And being a Yankee fan, its hard for me to convince people that I feel like that every time they make it to the World Series. I take each year as the start of something new. I cherish every championship my team wins. But still, its guys like Rangers here that will take the cake for those true fans that need to have a moment to enjoy what their team has accomplished. Its great to see
