The contemporary era hall of fame ballot was announced. Who would get in and who would you leave out from this list?

I used to participate in these HOF discussions every time one got posted, stating my case with passion, but soon realized that it's pointless. We all have our set of beliefs. Rarely will another view point charge our minds. Each one of these guys went through the normal HOF voting process and were not enshrined for one reason or another. However, we all know that these committees allow players a 2nd chance and many have been elected through this method as well.

I wish all of them good luck. it would not hurt my feelings if any of them were elected. Several are all ready HOFers in my mind anyways. Fernando stood out to me as one who immediately sounded comical to even think he'd have a shot, but he lingered for several years after his prime and ended up with semi-decent numbers. He was pretty amazing for 5-6 years, but the rest of his career was average at best. If you were alive and of the age where you were watching/understanding baseball in the early 80s, Fernandomania likely touched you in some way. Statistically speaking, all of them had solid careers. Besides the 2-3 obvious PED snubs who have the numbers to warrant enshrinement w/o question, most of these guys didn't have any of the traditional magic career numbers to lock them in.

My guess is, if the committee is not going to forgive the obvious in the case of Bonds, Clemens or Sheffield, then Murphy probably has the best shot. Maybe with no votes going to the other 3, someone else gets a better shot as well. Kent perhaps? Mattingly was another like Fernando, amazing for 5-6 years, then it tailed off dramatically. 3-4 more prime performance years from Donnie and he would have likely been a lock under the normal voting process.
