Appreciate the Contest! Here's my Top 10:

1. Childhood memories brought back
2. Something to talk about with fellow collectors
3. It makes the games more fun to watch
4. Watching prospects come up the ladder
5. Sweet Autos
6. Discussing 90s inserts with my best friend
7. It's exciting to land a card you've been looking for
8. Buying huge lots and piecing them off
9. Trading what you don't want for what you do
10. Posting a card on Ebay and watching the bids come in

1. Shared excitement and conversation with my 7 and 5 year old boys;
2. Staying linked with Seattle sports as the Army moves us around the world;
3. Childhood memories of collecting and selling at card show tables with my dad;
4. Challenge of piecing together a 1955 Topps set around the Clemente RC I picked up at the Seattle Pike Place Market as an 11 year old;
5. Friends (and/or enablers) at the LCS at this duty station;
6. Trying to approximate some of the pressure of being a baseball scout by prospecting;
7. Finding super-sweet deals for the PC on ebay;
8. Excitement and pain of AIC breaks;
9. Breaking/warring boxes and trading with friends; and,
10. Escaping work/family for a bit at night by sorting massive amounts of base cards while watching a game.

1) Coming back to the hobby after 20 years and getting hooked again
2) I'm addicted to Gambling and this is another way to get my fix

4) LOVE busting WAX!!!
5) Started my PC (after selling ALL of my cards 20 years ago)
6) Buying & Selling on EBAY
7) Looking through FORUMS all hours of the day & night
8) Pulling some MOJO from box breaks
9) Keeps me up to date on MLB, NBA & NFL

Thanks for the contest Andrew.

My top 10.

1.Plain and simple. Best Hobby of all-time!
2.It's just fun.
3.Love Baseball and the history of the game.
4.Keeps me young and brings me back to my childhood days.
5.Something new everytime keeps me from leaving the hobby.
6.Gets me as close to the game as I can get other than the TV or going to a game.
7.I can build many houses using cardboard.
8.It earned me the KDC Title (Knock Down Champion) when I was a kid. Needless to say those never went to BGS or PSA for grading.
9.Cardboard sounds like a motorcycle.... in my bike spokes.
10.Good Firewood.
