Welcome!
I will be running two Punch-A-Bunch themed contests (one on the baseball board, one on the football). There will be three contestants per contest (3 for baseball, 3 for football), each guaranteed to take home a prize.
Everyone is welcome to play and to enter to be a contestant.
To enter, you simply need to pick a number between 1 and 1000 and post it in this thread.
Feel free to enter both contests (baseball & football), but each member is allowed to only guess once in each contest.
This Friday (9/25) the entrance to the contest will close and I will produce three random numbers (1-1000) via random.org. The three entrants closest to each of the numbers will win a spot to play the game (there will be 1 winner per number drawn). For example, if the numbers were 100, 200, and 300, the person closest to number 100 would be contestant A, the person closest to 200 = contestant B, etc.
Once the three contestants have been chosen, they will be put in a random order 1, 2, & 3. They will then each be able to choose a number from the board in the order of contestant numbers (1 goes first, 2 second, 3 third). Starting with contestant 1, the prize associated with their chosen number will be revealed, after which they will be able to either keep that prize and be done or choose to give it back and select another number (once a prize is passed on, there is no going back to it for that contestant). This can be repeated twice, meaning they may see up to two additional prizes. However, they will not be able to select the numbers already taken by the other two contestants. After the play for contestant 1 is completed, the remaining board prizes will be randomly reshuffled and contestant 2’s starting pick/punch prize will be revealed. Contestant 2 will then play the game in the same fashion as #1, then contestant 3 will play following 2’s completion of the game. Note: In addition to prizes, some punches will contain bonus picks, allowing the contestant to choose a bonus number. They will then receive that prize automatically and continue playing the game (meaning they will end up with extra prizes).
