Too many, I know. My wife loves animals

I have 3 aquatic turtles as well, what species do you have?

1 very large, very old red-ear (12-14 inches)
1 juvenile red-ear (6 inches)
1 very old eastern painted (4 inches)

The 2 land turtles are both asian box in their mid to late 30's

our red-ear is almost 2! he's about 4.5" and follows us around like a dog from the inside of his tank.

Both of the small aquatics share a 50 gal tank, and would follow my hand all day if I stood in front of the tank. :lol:

acquatic turtles are actually great pets as long as you don't have a kid and allow them to put them in their mouth.

I've hand fed hatchlings after only a few weeks in captivity. This being said, another amazing thing about them is that they vary greatly from species to species..no way you could ever hand feed a Quachita Map hatchling.

No pets; my mom was deathly afraid of animals. My dad got my brother and I some goldfish once..twenty minutes later, I heard my mom screaming..

"OUT, OUT, OUT!!!"

Of course, she was carrying the fish bowl outside; you better watch out..those goldfish are LETHAL.

Really mom, are the fish going to leap out of the water and attack you? Talk about trying to shelter your kids...
