I just naturally thought it was completely normal for grading to magically affect all card values (including 1/1s) this way

Pretty lofty price, but you would think the auto and grading would add at least a few hundred dollars of value to the right collector. I could easily see it getting an offer in the 500-1000 range.

Way to ruin a great card. It's a cool card, but I wouldn't want to ruin a beautiful 1/1 like that.
