Me too :(

I told my wife this summer its a must!!!!
Was it crowded with spring break?

It was not crowded at all last weekend. There were other high school teams kicking around town (we were there with my son's team) as there were a bunch of games scheduled on Doubleday Field but I would say it was very calm in town.

My 1st visit was about 10 years ago, similar time of year, perhaps earlier in April, and my brother and I had the whole town to ourselves.

I bet it is very crowded during the summer months.

"Say it ain't so Joe" that you have never been before.... ;)

I believe the no-hitter balls are all autographed- that display is very appealing to the eye!

Awesome pictures of Cooperstown, when my wife and I went in June of 2005 it was pretty empty and the town shut down after 6:30pm or so.

I really love the Mays cleats, in person the orange stripes look like Mays painted the orange over the white stripes on the cleats.

Fantastic place!

the fact that they are autographed makes them even more incredible.

I really need to go to the Hall.

Looks like you had a great time there. I went there last year around this time, a great way to spend the day.

Bring anything back with you?

...well lots of pictures... ;)

Many, many card/memorabilia shops- did not buy anything other than t-shirts for 3 boys AND the big hit was having 3 wooden bats engraved for each son- with each name and our town baseball team. My ten year old loves the smell of the burnt/engraved wood.

Reminds me, one of the shops had a big white door with about 20 HOFers autographs on the door (to a storage area). My son got a pic with his phone, which I need to get. Sad that George Kell is now the 1st person on the door to pass away.

Scott,
Where did you stay? Any recommendations on lodging?
Anyone else know a good place to stay with the family?
Keep the pictures coming, I love 'em!
Thanks
Joe

I'd go off season if I could Joe.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express about 3 miles from town (there were about 50 of us in the traveling party). The last time I stayed at a little inn right in the center of town, I think the Tunicliff Inn (or something). There is also a Best Westen near the Holiday Inn.

My bucket has all my pics- link at end of 1st post. Could have taken thousands of pics...

We stayed here: Inn at Cooperstown.

It's a B & B, but each room has its own bathroom, it has free wifi, and it is a really nice place for a good price. Plus it is only about 3 or 4 blocks from the HOF. I highly recommend it.

Luckily for me i only live about 40-50 minutes from cooperstown and get out there about 4 or 5 times a year. The card shops are over priced but are a ton of fun to look around in. There are literally tons of bed and breakfasts and a few of the chain hotels to stay at. Induction weekend is by far the best experience you can have there.

Lucky man!!

My son and I just had the conversation that we would go again tomorrow (if we did not have to endure the ride  )

Liked the pics in your bucket with the HOFers. You still with the g/f, nice catch ;)
