Where's all the Corey Dickerson love? Dude has been a monster this year and hardly anybody has noticed. Oh wait, he plays for the Rockies - Strike One. The Rockies stink this year - Strike Two. No one cares about the Rockies - Strike Three.

Anyway, here's his stat line on the season through the 7th inning of tonight's game vs. SF (his home/road splits are fairly impressive too):

106 g, 343 ab, 109 hits, .318 avg., 60 runs, 20 home runs, 63 rbi, 8 sb. If he keeps playing the rest of the year he should get enough ABs to qualify for the NL batting title.

Here's a vid of his 19th HR a few nights ago - he hit it into the 3rd deck @ Coors Field about 5 rows deep. Look @ about 48-50 secs in to see it land in the seats:

Unfortunately, everyone assumes Rockies' players stats are artificially inflated by playing at Coors Field.
And it's certainly true for Dickerson who is just an average player away from Coors:

Home: .355 avg., 1.067 OPS

Away: .274 avg., .804 OPS

I've noticed!!! His .576 slugging % would lead the NL as well!

A .274 away .804 OPS is actually very good for most ballplayers and ranks him close to several other elite players in road games:

Giancarlo Stanton away - .275 avg, .866 OPS
Yasiel Puig away - .290 avg, .871 OPS
Andrew McCutchen away - .281 avg, .866 OPS
Freddy Freeman away - .297 avg, .873 OPS
Albert Pujols away - .268 avg, .782 OPS

I think most would say the 5 players I listed are considered elite players and Dickersons road #s aren't that far off (and better than Pujols). Also Dickerson only has 343 AB so far on the season most other full time players have 500+.
