because Dwight is a bigger commodity. sure. they'd lose their job if they did. Dwight does have the upper hand defensively, for sure.

with regards to offensive talent, both currently and potentially though, DMC is way ahead. Dwight's footwork has greatly improved, but he only has that and his size/athleticism. DMC could and likely will develop a good 15-20 footer to go along with his already stellar moves/footwork in the post. add in his FT% and his passing ability, and the fact that he is still learning, and its not even close for me.

I wouldn't blame a GM for taking Dwight though. If I'm a GM though, I'd go DMC. unless I have $100-mil+ to spare and an owner demanding I get a big name.

But if Cousins is as good as you say, then he'll get a max deal just like Howard so how much does that matter?

I'm not knocking cousins, and i understand your defense of him. It's clear you have a Level 5 Man-Crush on Cousins. Don't worry about it, that's me with Rondo.

would Cousins get a max deal right now? idk about that. the public's/media's perception of him helps knock down the price a bit.

As a Kentucky fan - I want to root for Cousins but he needs to check his attitude/mouth. Making headlines today for calling Griffin an "actor" after their time on the court yesterday.

I would definitely take Howard and Love before Cousins.

the perception of Cousins goes back to his high school days. He got kicked off his high school team if I remember correctly and got sent to live with some family in Mobile. I went to watch him in the State Finals his Senior Year and he pouted at half court when when he lost to Eric Bledsoe's Parker team. He's a competitor though and I think he will continue to get better.

cousins has looked better this year but the there is a huge gap between clearly the two best centers in the league andrew bynum and dwight howard and the rest of the centers in the nba...noah, chandler, hibbert, cousins, gasol and so on
