He had a shot to tie the major league record but longo struck out. What a day for Crawford. I was hoping he would get his base stealing back on track after so many injuries.

Was just about to post this. Also is 4-4, 2 R, RBI and a walk. Average up to .317 and he actually has a respectable OBP this year (over .360 now), and I believe he is 16/16 on steals.

I'm not complaining lol. His SB's have been awesome, and he's actually walking with relative frequency. That said, the power is MIA.

6 steals is insane!
As an old school fan, I like how the game is going back to all-around play and speed, and not just power.
Crawford's fun to watch.

It's the whole Rays team too. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th up 1 run, Bartlett stole 3rd. Crawford then legged out an infield hit that Bartlett scored on. They wouldn't have gotten the insurance run without the steal.

Yep. But I'll take a .317 BA, a respectable OBP and 16 steals coming off all those injuries any day.

Oh, not complaining, and with the way he is running I have to assume nothing is hurting. I imagine once he's back in the groove of things some of the hits will start flying out, and the walks have been a very pleasant surprise.

I'm not old school ,but I have really enjoyed seeing speed/average playing a bigger role in the bigs. The longball is fun ,but it's nice to see all aspects of the game into play.

ESPN says Crawford is now on pace for 106 stolen bases.
Here's the list of seasons of 100 steals since 1900.
Only four modern players have done it!

130 - Rickey Henderson - 1982
118 - Lou Brock - 1974
110 - Vince Coleman - 1985
109 - Vince Coleman - 1987
108 - Rickey Henderson - 1983
107 - Vince Coleman 1986
104 - Maury Wills - 1962
100 - Rickey Henderson - 1980

Stole another yesterday. I've been seeing articles about him stealing 100 bases this season. Seemed a little strange considering if we get rid of the 6 steal game he's be right with everyone else, but I did read on ESPN that he changed his off-season regimen and believe it will help him run more. Throw in the fact he is walking far more often than in the past, and a career high would not be crazy. One thing I'll tell you, I'm not complaining!!

Topnotchsy: Just out of curiousity, how many of the Crawford Topps Traded RC Autos do you have stashed? Also, could you give the price range these have spanned (not your paid price necessarily, just what the market highs and lows for this card have been)? Thanks much.

If Upton ever starts getting on base, Crawford won't have as many opportunities. Unless, I guess, they attempt a lot of double steals.

Upton has redefined the term 'black hole' in a lineup.

Not a joke. He's been awful. I would not be surprised if they moved Crawford to lead-off if Upton's struggles continue. I do think they'd double steal if Upton does one day get on base, as he's one of the fastest men in baseball himself.

BGS 9.5s have gone as high as $180-$200. I can't remember what the raw peak was, maybe $70ish.

I believe I have 18 BGS 9.5's, 1 PSA 10, and 3 raw.

Raw copies have ranged from around $8.50-$100 over time. For the BGS 9.5's the lowest sale I can recall (and I've seen pretty much every sale for the last 7 years) was $52, and the highest was $290.
